Sunshine

This is another painting I like, it has a warm summery feel to it and is so full of light. I do not know the name of the painting but the artist is Frank Weston Benson (1862 - 1951) an American Impressionist painter. I suspect the young woman is one of his daughters as they were the subjects for many of his works. I do hope you like the brightness and warmth of the colours.

So nice to see you over here Lil Lamb. I'm glad you like this painting. No comedy here yet I will have to see what I can come up with to make everyone laugh. :)

Seriously, I love this genre. It IS a very beautiful painting. I only wish, just once, that the other pugs would not poke fun as I sit and read Jane Austin with MY parasol by the loading dock.

/t. Thanks baby you have bought some laughs to this rather serious Blog, early days yet but I'm sure your comments will lighten things up. <3

Puggles my darling, dont let them make fun of you, I love a sensitive gentlepug. Reading Jane Austen or poetry sitting in a sunny spot in my prettiest flowing muslin dress is one of my favourite pastimes. Maybe we could read together? <3

Thanks for dropping by Pete, I love the impressionists too; most people associate them with the French painters but there are so many. I realised my Blog was named after some song lyrics when I posted Loreena McKennitt's song, actually I was just offering everyone a little piece of my heart. <3

A bit of history ain't bad, eh?
He tried the group in France of Monet.

Thanks Boney, I didn't have any success with the title of the painting on the Web, I'll have to go to the library and see if I can find the info there. :)

In this painting you can almost hear the birdsongs and feel the warmth of the sun.

Yes M, I can feel the sunshine myself and hear the birds singing, what a lovely place to be - sitting there in those pretty clothes and surroundings. :) xoxoxo
