Crimson Petals

Like crimson petals
the colour of blood that falls
like tears from my broken heart...

His last words spoken, harsh
and sting like an arrow
as they cruelly pierced my heart...

Careless words echo through me
all hope of love is gone
and the sadness that now surrounds me
my fate and companion from now on...

I am working on my companion poem to yours, tentatively titled, "Who Needs Him?". Though I am not as talented as you, m'lady, that doesn't stop me from trying. Here's what I have so far:

***

Who Needs Him?

Who needs you?!
I wanted her to shout
Along with
Don't let the door hit your sorry ass
On the way out

***

I know. It needs work. But maybe if I chose the right font and background color, I can make it "pop".

i like the shot of the honeysuckle on the sidebar. its a favorite fragrance and looks great in an arrangement. glad you got a blog a bit disappointed you didnt stop by the dog pound to inform me of the good news.

Lil Lamb it is a sad poem, I have been sad for such a long time because I miss him so much. :) oxox

Puggles my dear, you are so sweet,I just love your companion poem, I wish I could let go of my feelings for him and in time I will, I realise I have to as he doesn't want me in his life in any way.

As far as talent is concerned you have far more to offer your readers than I do. The articles you write are entertaining, interesting and funny, they take on a momentum of their own, look how much fun we all have posting comments. Its a fun place to visit. :) <3

K9, I am so sorry I thought that I had left an invitation over at your Blog. I put your link in my sidebar. I'm glad you like the honeysuckle, it has a wonderful fragrance, just have to keep it trimmed otherwise it gets a bit out of control. Thanks for popping over, didn't mean to hurt your feelings. :) xoxox

Foamie thanks for that offer, but I dont think it would help at all, he made his decision and he didn't choose me. He is actually a very nice guy thats why this has all been so difficult. :) xoxox

/t. Who sounds as if they've been married for 30 years?

Did you mean Puggles & myself? Dont think Pug is the marrying kind and I wouldn't have him any other way! :)

Me and my ex husband. Nope, that ended 10 years ago.

Me and the mystery man? No,I just wanted a relationship or failing that a lasting friendship; would never marry again, been down that road before. :)

You got that right Lil Lambie, where are all of the good ones, the ones who are kind, faithful & loving?

It seems to me, that they're all taken.

Just a cotton pickin' moment on the 'all guys are bad' talk.

Some of us are quite nice.
(of course, come to think of it, I've been divorced twice....)

hmmm.
maybe we are all scoundrals.
