As I Wait For Spring

All that I can hope for
is one more Spring
In anticipation I wait
For the wonders it will bring

To wander through my garden
where the white buds will bloom
A banquet for the senses
to take away the gloom

To fill my heart with joy once more
though I know it wont endure

For the beauty that surrounds me
I must treasure while I may
Until the Winter of my ending
will take these gifts away...

the song of the desert.

i have
to remind
myself that you
are in australia, dianne,
where your seasons are opposite to us here in the north -- the spring you are waiting for is our fall, not too far off now :)

Quite nice! I am a Fall person myself. Colored leaves, last of he fishing on still, cold waters, geese wailing overhead and deer season just on the horizon. Sitting with my back against an ancient moss covered tree soaking in the sounds, smells and sights of a nice stand of hardwoods. Hard to beat.

personally, I'm wondering if I've gone too far.

Thanks Boney you're right, this country is dry enough if we had an endless Summer it would become a desert. :)

Yes /t. we are all back the front down here, looking forward to Spring, actually Spring & Autumn are my favourite seasons. :)

Thanks Foamie, I'm looking forward to a little happiness in my life. :)

Thanks Mick, but my posts have been a bit negative up to date, looking forward to happier posts. :)

And Phos thanks, you paint a beautiful picture there, images , sounds & scents, I'd be right there with you enjoying it all as long as I didn't have to shoot anything. I couldn't kill any wild creature. :)

I always hope for a lot more than just one spring. But that's me. I'm a rebel that way.
