The Promise of Early Spring Blossoms

These are some pictures of pretty Spring blossoms which I found whilst searching for my lost images. I thought, as most of you, my friends in the Northern Hemisphere have had a very harsh Winter this year that I would post them to brighten your days and to let you know that I am thinking of you.
I welcome Autumn and all of its beautiful colours as you greet Springtime and look forward to warmer sun filled days...I hope that the cold winds that blow and the cold of frosty days have gone. Swollen buds and blossoms the early promise of Spring...life renewed...

This particular tree is a Japanese Flowering Cherry, Prunus Serrulata, its name is 'Shogetsu', which translated means 'moon hanging low by pine trees', which I think is a lovely name for these pretty blossoms... ♥

I'm glad I read the text, I was starting to think climate change was more severe in Sydney than I had suspected!

Thanks dear Lil Lambie yes they are very pretty.

I guess you didnt read the text, yes I am welcoming Autumn/Fall you are greeting Spring, these are my favourite seasons. ♡

Foamie dear I dont have many deciduous trees in my garden so I dont get many of those beautiful fall colours, just a few trees have started colouring but nothing spectacular like you get in the Northern Hemisphere and the much colder areas of New South Wales, Victoria & Tasmania.
The park and reserve where I walk has some lovely trees and these are changing colour.
I must plant more exotic trees as they provide so much shade from the heat in Summer and then allow the sun to shine through in Winter.
I love buds and new shoots, they always look so pretty. ♡

You know j cosmo my dear, you should always read the text. :)
And you could be excused for thinking it was Spring here at the moment as the climate and weather are so unpredictable who knows what is happening.

We have had rain all night, gale force winds this morning which were howling around the outside of the house, heavy pouring rain bucketing down but now it has setteld down, thanffully just normal rainfall.
My garden will be enjoying this; I dont know where you live in Australia but if you need it I hope you are getting some rain as well. ♡

Yes Lee dear they are very lovely.

I hope you are getting some of this rainfall that I am experiencing now, my garden was so dry and I'm sure yours would enjoy a good drenching of rain after all of the damage you had over those extreme Summer days...
fingers crossed for you. ♡

No, not rain here. They promise some for Friday, we'll see. The garden is dry and dusty again. (sigh)

Lee dear, left a message at your blog, I hope you get some rain. ♡

"Moon hanging low by pine trees" evokes fond memories of this intoxicated canine pulling an ill-advised joke on his fellow campers.

Thanks Helene dear, yes they are pretty blossoms.
I'm pleased this exceptionally cold Winter that you have all experienced is coming to an end...you can have far too much cold.
Its always nice to find some bulbs emerging with green shoots and buds and blossoms on the trees.
Happy travels, I hope you have a great time. ♡

Why Puggles my sweet, what did you do to your fellow campers?
I wonder...
Nice to see you here, you have been missed... I guess you have been working very hard again? ♡

Thanks for the poem Boney , I thought by now the temperature would be warming up and there would be plenty of leaves on the branches, Spring bulbs peeking through the green grass and lots of flowers in that magical place where you live.

Sorry about the mosquitos and sneezes, we can all do without those.

Hang in there I'm sure Spring will come soon enough. ♡

That reminds me of when I was a kid. My mother had a peony bush in the back, and before it bloomed it'd get these big green balls on the end of stems, which would eventually open to reveal the flowers. It was fun to see how far down the block you could knock the things with a 7 iron. Ants loved the big buds so sometimes as a bonus, the ant got to earn some sky-miles. My mother couldn't understand why she never got any flowers out of the thing.

Oh Phossy dear, I can just imagine you doing that with the green buds and giving the ants some frequent flyer points. :)

What a shame for your Mum as peony flowers are just so beautiful. ♡
