Some Flowers for Nina & Smiles all Round

This afternoon was rather special as I was able to meet up with my little girl Nina; she recently returned to her village in Viet Nam to attend the wedding of her cousin and reconnect with her Mom, Dad and brother whom she hasn't seen for over a year.

She has been terribly homesick especially when her Dad was in hospital following a motor bike accident and his slow recovery afterwards, it was a very difficult time for her; I would have liked to have paid for her air fare home but I couldn't afford it.

She is a sweet, brave young girl travelling all that way without her lovely husband who recently started a new job and was unable to have the time off work to go with her...but he phoned her every day... ♥

What a lovely home-coming for them all, seeing each other again after all of this time..I can just imagine the smiles, kisses, hugs and giggles just like this afternoon when we I saw her again...and no doubt tears of joy.

Nina has been gone for three weeks , it was a good opportunity for her to spend some time with her Mom, Dad, younger brother and members of her extended family and relatives from America who attended the wedding ... I am sure they are missing her already.

Nina dear it is wonderful to have you back, you will always have two homes... your sweet nature and beautiful smile were missed by me and many others ... ♥

I forgot to tell you all that for Mothers' Day, Nina made a collage of photos of us both, including some yellow and mauve flowers and framed it as a very thoughtful gift for me...I have it in my room amongst some treasured photos of my children and grandchildren. :)

nice post. was that your step-daughter or something like that?

long way around - I had no idea, they made that!
from where to where did they go?

Boorman - really, women would think he's hot???
Well, I can't agree with that at all, but I do think he's got a nice personality and that is the most important thing!

Thanks dear Sarah Sofia ...
no, Nina and I have a very special friendship, she 'adopted' me as her Australian Mum and I care for her well being as if she was my daughter.

Yes many women think Charley Boorman is handsome, me too but part of the attraction is his great personality.

I have put a link here to Long Way Round and you can read all about the adventure. ♡

Thanks dear Foamy
it is a nice post with a happy ending.
Nina was so excited about seeing her family again, she was to be a bridesmaid and since many family members were travelling there for the wedding it would be a chance to see many of her family and friends again.

She was counting the days but she wished her husband could go too but with his new job sadly it was not possible...I hope they can both visit together next time.

I'm so pleased she is back home safe and sound and of course so is her husband and others here who love her. ♡

Your relationship seems so special..she's blessed to have somebody so nice to her when she's away from her homeland and loved ones..it's difficult to find somebody you can call 'mom' when you're in a foreign land. I believe she'll come back to you with heart full of joy and love..

dianne said...

Thanks dear Hliza

yes I feel honoured that Nina calls me 'Mom'and that feels that I am like a Mother to her.
She is back here in Australia, back with her loving husband and I will see her again next week. xo ♡

Thanks dear X.Dell
yes they are nice flowers, they are anemones, Nina's favourites are jacaranda flowers she loves the colour, I did a post for her last year featuring them, so I'm sure she will like the colour of these. ♡

Lovely flowers - I could see that as a painting.

Thanks dear J Cosmo

they are pretty flowers and such lovely colours; yes a fine subject for a painting...do you paint as well as write your brilliant poetry and prose? ♡

It's so difficult for me to get in the Internet at the moment. I appreciate everything you have done for me. Too hard to express our feelings when we read what you give to me on your blog. I nearly cry because the emotion has reached to the highest level in which our relationship is getting more and more closer. You always care about me and my family like your own family. We're so lucky to have you. Thanks God for that! Now we can meet each other and hope to see you soon....And I would like to say Thank You to all of your friends who posted their comment for me.

My theory is that if Nina were German, she would prefer 99 red balloons.

dianne said...

Ah Puggles my sweet, lovely to hear from you again.

I guess you are meaning 99 red balloons like in the song, well its just as well Nina is not German because she is such a dainty little girl she would probably float away. xo ♡

Sounds like you both are lucky to have found one another! loved the photo above too! Helene

Thanks dear Helene
yes we are lucky to have found each other, Nina was looking for a Mother figure here in Australia because she was very homesick so she has 'adopted' me as her Mom here.
We just get on so well, she is like a daughter to me.
Pleased you liked the photo and when I posted the flowers I thought to myself, Helene will like this colour also. :) ♡
