Please Wait For Me ...

Please wait for me
until the white of Winter melts
into the streams of new life
and steals the cold away...

I will be there in Springtime
I will be there by your side
The trees will be budding
And sweet scented flowers
adorn the meadows faire...

The scent of soft grasses
will fill the morning air
Amidst them we will walk
holding hands, without a care
So much to enjoy together
so much to share ...

So look for me in Springtime
'neath your newly leaved tree
there amongst soft branches
leaves dancing in the breeze
I shall wait there 'til you find me
a garland in my hair...

Please wait for me...look for me...I shall be waiting there...

Thank you sweet shwet

I'm so pleased you liked my poem. I was feeling sad last night when I went to bed and thinking of someone I care for and some of the words came to me...I quicky wrote them on a piece of paper so I would not forget and the rest came to me tonight.
It is how I would like love to find me, one day perhaps.
I dont think your boyfriend would come looking for me he has you sweet girl.
Take care and love to you. x ♡

I'm so pleased you liked my poem, as I explained to my friend Shwet the first lines came to me last night in a moment of sadness and longing, the rest came to me this evening.
Yes I am looking forward to Spring and the one beyond and hoping love will wait for me and find me. ♡ xo

Thank you dearest /t.

So pleased you enjoyed the beauty and feeling of my poem and the image was perfect for the sentiment I felt...such a beautiful meadow. ♡ xo

Yes Glyn dear
an ace photograph, but neither are mine, I would have to drive about seven hours north or a long distance to capture a meadow like this one, maybe on my cousin's property.

I found them on the Net, one was from the USA the other from a museum web page, I don't believe either were copyrighted.

BTW did you like the poem? ♡

Dianne,
Its been a while since I've been to your blog and I do apologize, but this is a lovely poem you've written. I do hope things are going well for you over there.

Your poem makes me think of a little whispered prayer I've prayed when I've lost someone important...to wait for me in heaven- where there are no limits to what we can do, and where we can go, or the things we can enjoy. Where no one is famous and my literary mentors (CS Lewis and AA Milne) won't mind spending a few weeks with me and answering all my questions, and won't be bothered if I want to hug them :)

That's what your poem reminded me of...Heaven.
hugs and be well friend~

I can never write as beautiful as that. Somebody famous locally here said the best thing you'll write is the feelings that come from your heart..and you did just that; I can feel it Dianne.

Beautiful days are on their way Dianne..you just wait!

Hello April dear, so nice of you to drop by, no need to apologise I havent been to your blog lately either or Aren's or Holly's I can't keep up with all of the posts...I must come over and see what is happening in your world.

Thanks,I'm pleased that you liked my poem; no things arent great over here in my love life, in fact its non existent but then again that is nothing new. ♡ xo

Thank you dearest Mayden
I'm so pleased that you got so much from my humble poem, it is about love or hoping it will find me.
Asking it to wait for me not to abandon me for someone else as I need it so much and being in a mindful state of happiness with a happy ending when it finally finds me and realises how worthy I am. ♡

Hugs to you sweet girl and take care.

Thanks dearest HLiza
you are so sweet to me, yes the best poems come from feelings, emotions and from the heart and this one certainly did.

Beautiful days ahead? Thank you, if only that were true... I wish I could be sure of that but I am not hopeful any more...but I am thankful that I do still have family and friends who care for me, that is something to be grateful for. ♡
Take care dear friend. xo

Well thanks Boney dear,

I didnt know what the pink flowers were called but they are very pretty, so are the rudbeckia (black -eyed Susan), the Queen Annes lace and the soft grasses and cattails...such a lovely meadow...I should imagine the fragrance would be delightful. :-)
You have some lovely wildflowers growing where you live.

Yes I'm pleased to hear the pink gladiolis have recovered from your earlier attack with the mower, please try and give the Queen Annes lace a chance to grow as well...you are so fortunate ro have such pretty flowers...I look forward to your flower postings.:-)

The poem...more trusting to hope?...well hope is one thing and being realistic is another...I felt a real pang of nostaligia and longing for someone and something missing, feelings from the heart and the first words came to me as I went to bed alone, as always that evening and the rest came to me the following evening amongst a flood of tears.
So much for 'hope'! ♡ xo

nicely done, dianne :)

hope your spring/summer are as you describe them... so far it's been the wettest/coldest spring/summer in my 12 years in nova scotia... i look forward to a warm/dry fall beginning next month...

Thanks Corby dear,

I'm pleased that you liked my poem, thanks for stopping by. ♡

Wonderful sentiments, lovingly put.

Thanks dear laughingwolf

Pleased you liked my poem, it is both a wish, a metaphor and my feelings expressed in words.
Yes I am looking forward to this Spring and the one beyond hoping that a wish will be fulfilled...I dont hold out much hope though, I think I might be standing under that tree waiting for a long time...
I'm sorry to hear that your spring/summer has been so wet and cold, thats such a shame when you look forward the the respite from the cold.
We have however had a mild, dry winter, not many very cold days... but we will no doubt pay for that in the summer with high temperatures and bush fires.
I hope your fall is warm and dry but then you will have the cold of winter upon you once again, the seasons seem to pass so quickly now as do the years. ♡

Thanks dear Lee

I'm pleased you liked my words, yes they were loving and from the heart.

I spent some of last night looking back through your blog, you have some wonderful photos there of your 'big' adventure, when you and Margaret travelled overseas...what a great experience and memories.

I was looking for a photo of a magpie which Boney told me you had posted...I have a new friend, a juvenile magpie who taps on my door with its beak and we sit together while I hand feed it.
The rest of the family joins me as well, some brothers and sisters, Mum and Dad...they are so sweet and a lovely experience for me.
I really don't want to encourage this closeness, though I do love it... I would prefer that they ate the many plant seeds and worms which are here in my garden naturally. :) ♡
