'Colour and Light'

'Angelique'

'White Satin'

'Timeless' detail

'Auburn Spring

'Winter Garden'

'Warmth'

These powerful and evocative images of the female form, in either an intimate interior, garden or rural setting are the work of American painter Daniel F. Gerhartz, born in Wisconsin in 1965, where he still resides with his wife Jennifer and their children.
I love the sumptuous colours and textures of his canvases and the way he introduces light and shade into his paintings, the light giving them life and a glorious glow of warmth and harmony.
These are only a small sample of his beautiful paintings, some of my favourites, but there are so many more which I could post here and I would recommend you visit his web page 'The Paintings of Daniel F. Gerhartz' at
www.danielgerhartz.com where you will be delighted to find more paintings such as these ... as well as landscapes, seascapes and much more ... just click on the link to 'paintings' and you will be opened up to a world of beauty and a powerful visual experience.
These paintings remain the property of Daniel F. Gerhartz and they are copyrighted, I have kindly been given permission by the artist's wife Jennifer Gerhartz to use these paintings in this post ... if you wish to use any of these paintings please contact the artist via e-mail for permission.
I have also added a link to Daniel's web page in my side bar so that in future we can all go and enjoy the paintings of this very talented artist.
Thank you Jennifer for your kind permission in allowing me to post these paintings. ♥

Well you know that I look everywhere for just the right images for my blog and if I can remember correctly I was doing a google search for 'yellow roses'... how fortunate to have found such a great artist and his beautiful paintings.
You must go to his web page for this is only a small sample of his amazing work. xo ♡

That's good dear Foamy
there are so many beautiful paintings to see.
I spent quite a lot of time there clicking on the images, I really loved the landscapes, the farms with barns in the winter snow and the green patchwork of Spring...some amazing paintings. ♡

I always enjoy the wonderful paintings that you post here on your blog. While always beautiful, I find that they seem to affect each of us in different ways.

For instance, with my keenly trained Pug eye, I cannot help but notice how in each of these paintings, that none of the subjects appear to suffer from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I don't know if that was intentional on the part of the artist, or simply a model prerequisite for having to pose in one place for so long.

Furthermore, see how the hay is stacked in front of the windows in the last image ('Warmth', my favorite). While this conveniently affords a rustic sitting area, it also dictates great care be taken with the pitchfork. Tempered glass would appear to be a must.

In closing, I sincerely did enjoy these paintings, and am delighted to discover that a present-day artist is so highly capable of carrying on this classic artform. Thank you for discovering and sharing his work.

Thank you Puggles my sweet, I'm only too happy to find these lovely images and artists and share their paintings with you.

Yes one would have to be very patient to be an artist's model and be able to keep very still and keep her pose, though I do think these paintings are often done in more than one sitting...maybe the basics then adding the detail.

I like all of these but my favourite is also 'Warmth', it reminds me a little of me when I was a young girl with my kitty... and yes that glass should be tempered for extra strength.

It's a good thing you have such a keen eye for detail my sweet as I hadn't noticed the pitchfork or thought of the care that should be taken and I certainly hope that isn't an oil lamp behind the girl as that would be a fire hazard with all of that straw.

Now having said that...where has all of the romanticism gone, sometimes we can be too practical and analytical.

I see it as a lovely young girl sitting there with her kitty enjoying the warmth of the sunshine in the barn, maybe she is looking through the glass waiting for her lover to come and meet her or just enjoying the beauty of the rural scenery. xo ♡

Master pieces!

Thank you Glyn dear,

what a lovely compliment, no these beautiful ladies are not me, the only resemblance is their luminosity and the girl in the painting 'warmth' when I was just a girl.

However, when I am very happy or in love I do glow with a certain radiance which others tend to notice. XX ♡

Thank you dear Ruela

they are master pieces, I think Daniel's art works could rival many of the old masters, what an amazing artist he is. xo ♡
