Whilst searching for myself at dawn
I was thrice blessed this very morn
For I found a flower I thought had gone
there amongst the weeds it shone
its white petals will soon be gone
I promise you I will take more care
so that when I look next summer
you will still be there
I listened to the songs of birds
and thought about my wasted words
Magpies warbling just past the dawn
a lovely way to greet the morn
A fledgling chick calls for its Mum
both reunited in the morning sun
Walking barefoot on sweetest grass
water bubbling in my path
Running in between my toes
thoughts of childhood
Forget my woes
Winding my way through leafy bowers
such a lovely way to spend the hours
Finding new shoots along the way
welcomed blessings is all I can say
And now has come a balmy breeze
it moves with music through the trees
The leaves are dancing to a rustling tune
and in the sky I see the moon
Birds are singing their evening song
frogs and crickets in unison
All around a pulsing sound
I feel the coolness of the ground
The air is filled with the scent of flowers
How I love these dusky hours
All this set against a sky of blue
ever deepening in every hue
Once again thoughts of you
And in the distance an owls call
still many sounds at night fall
Listen quietly to the chorus of all
For it is the Earths song after all.

The Earth plays a sweet tune if you can get away from all the city noise.

ahhhh great photo ..
and beautiful poetry, dianne ..
i was right there beside you exploring your garden too
:)
one of my favorites! how nice to enjoy the senses of spring summer while we are in winter. and good too, to see your blessings.
Thanks dear Phos , it was sooo quiet here once. All you could hear were the sounds of nature but now with urban development ever increasing you can hear the hum of traffic in the distance from the freeway. ♥
Flowers, grass, breezes. Lovely.
Thanks dearest /t. , so you liked the poem?...I love my garden, it holds many treasured plants and memories. ♥
Thanks for your help here is
something pleasant for you. ♥
My dearest Foamie , so you liked the poem?
I wasn't sure about it, but it was a way for me describe how I felt yesterday, from very early morning when I found the flower and heard the birds then saw the magpie fledgling calling its Mum who thankfully came with food. I spent a lot of time outside yesterday and it was lovely watching, feeling and listening to the dusk as it moved into the evening, the fragrance was delightful. I'm pleased you were with me, the photo was taken at night. ♥
Than you dearest K9 , there are many blessings in my garden, I am always so excited when I find a emerging shoots, buds with the promise of something beautiful to come and its a good way to block out sad feelings. ♥
I hope you are having a lovely time at Chickory, I suppose it is like a winter wonderland, I will never forget the photo you posted of the pine needles covered with snow, so beautiful. ♥
Yes dear j cosmo , grasses, flowers, a cool breeze such an intoxicating combination for the senses. ♥
Gardens are a great place to escape to and rejuvenate. So glad you have one.

Thanks dear Lee , yes I am very thankful to have a garden but I know it is not as beautiful as yours; your photos are lovely. ♥
I think your garden would be more ordered and get much more attention than mine. ♥
Yes dear /t. , pretty song by Coldplay, I am just grateful for your help once again. ♥
Ms. Dianne,
I am at a loss for words. So beautiful. That is all I can say.
I remain yours, &c.
Colonel Brandon.
Dear Colonel,
I thank you Sir for your praise both here and at your journal.
You have kind and generous heart.
