I sowed the seeds of love
I sowed them in the Spring
I gathered them up in the morning so soon
When the small birds so sweetly sing
When the small birds so sweetly sing
The gardener was standing by
I asked him to choose for me
He chose for me the violet, the lily and the pink
But those I refused all three
But those I refused all three
The violet I did not like
Because it bloomed so soon
The lily and the pink I really over-think
So I thought I would wait till June
So I thought I would wait till June
In June there was a red rose bud
That is the flower for me
I often time have plucked the red rose bud
Till I gained the willow tree
Till I gained the willow tree
The willow tree will twist
The willow tree will twine
Oftentimes I've wished I was in the young man's
arms
Who once had the heart of mine
Who once had the heart of mine
I sowed the seeds of love
I sowed them in the Spring
I gathered them up in the morning so soon
When the small birds so sweetly sing
When the small birds so sweetly sing
I sowed them in the Spring
I gathered them up in the morning so soon
When the small birds so sweetly sing
When the small birds so sweetly sing
The gardener was standing by
I asked him to choose for me
He chose for me the violet, the lily and the pink
But those I refused all three
But those I refused all three
The violet I did not like
Because it bloomed so soon
The lily and the pink I really over-think
So I thought I would wait till June
So I thought I would wait till June
In June there was a red rose bud
That is the flower for me
I often time have plucked the red rose bud
Till I gained the willow tree
Till I gained the willow tree
The willow tree will twist
The willow tree will twine
Oftentimes I've wished I was in the young man's
arms
Who once had the heart of mine
Who once had the heart of mine
I sowed the seeds of love
I sowed them in the Spring
I gathered them up in the morning so soon
When the small birds so sweetly sing
When the small birds so sweetly sing

/t.
beautiful song!
your garden must be lovely right now...
may you have a peaceful weekend, dianne ..
and a merry christmas ..
I may have run across that lady in my local gardening center. With my cart. She was annoying there as well.
No dear Phos , not seedy love, but the seeds of love planted in ones heart to flourish and grow; what could be more lovely. ♥
Yes dear /t. with a voice so beautiful as hers, methinks I could easily win the heart of a gentle man. ♥
Thank you also for your Christmas wishes, I left some for you and yours over at mo'po. ♥♥♥♥
Thank you dearest Foamie it is a beautiful song, I have a few more pleasant surprises before Christmas. ♥
I see you have read my Christmas message that I left for you at your blog, thanks again for your friendship. ♥
Some of the flowers in my garden are delightful at the moment, like the stephanotis, gardenias and lilies but I have such a lot of weeding to do.
As for the garden in my heart and the seeds of love planted there, well they are suffering from lack of interest and sustenance. ♥
Puggles my sweet, please dont tell me that you are one of those people who are always running into peoples heels with your trolley. ♥
I always find the garden centre a most pleasant place to visit, one of the the few highlights in my life. ♥
So I am presuming that you did not enjoy this song from Loreena and if you see her at the garden centre she had better get out of your way. ♥
Okay, I'll fess up. I have no beef with Loreena. She has a very sweet voice. It's those SUV-driving, cellphone talking, indecisive checkout line clogging menaces at MY local gardening centers to whom I was referring. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding, gorgeous.
Oh Puggles my sweet,no misunderstanding, you dont have to like her, shes just one of my favourites.
I know exactly what you mean about those kind of people in the checkout line, I'm sure they dont do it on purpose, some just live in their own little world; and as soon as some step into a supermarket or garden centre their brains seem to shut down.
I think it comes down to too many choices...so one has to be patient. Patience is a virtue. ♥♥
