Colour My World - Petula Clark
This song is an oldie, British singer Petula Clark recorded it in 1968; I know we are going back in time a fairly long way but I found myself humming it yesterday for no apparent reason, maybe I was just feeling happy and yellow, my favourite colour. The sound isn't perfect but I like the words and the Fall foliage in the video is very pretty, I hope you all enjoy it as well. :)

Lovely, Dianne!
Tnx 4 sharing <3
Hmm.. I must have missed that song from her. It complies very well with the autumn footage.
Strange thing that you suddenly goes humming on something and have no idea where it come from.
i have to admit that i'm not familiar with that song at all ..
pretty cool though .. :)
Petula understands how important my graffiti work is. She "gets" me.
Yes /t. some really nice songs came out of the sixties; its a shame they didn't have the technology that we have now but I guess the music industry was in its infancy. Some of that 'raw' sound is good.

You are welcome Anna-Lys, I'm glad that you enjoyed it, its a happy song and has a nice beat.
:) ♥ <3
M dear you probably missed that song because you are too young;it was very popular here like most of the British singers.
I guess there was a subconscious reason for humming it, maybe I saw a beautiful autumn tree somewhere and read some lovely words which reminded me of how it feels to be happy. :) ♥ xoxoxox
Foamie dear I'm glad that you liked it, its bright and happy and dont forget we were both girls then. :) ♥ <3 xoxoxo
Puggles my love, graffiti? I guess you colour the world with happiness wherever you go, you're just that kind of guy (er dog).
:) ♥ xoxoxox
....if the yellow you favor is like the yellow in the song, she calls it gold.
Maybe that's what you favor?
(not like the miser...)
But gold.
The other day I saw a gray cloud circled with a gold lining.
It was really cool, too.
Nice song, but, though i remembered it, it wasn't what I thought I was going to hear.
Aren't we all still girrrrrlllls ;-)
Boney I'll take all shades of yellow including the colour of gold!
I dont think you could have really listened to the words, she wants more than 'gold'.
Yellow is such a happy colour it brings some sunshine into my life. :) ♥ xoxoxo
There is another song by that name but its by the group 'Chicago', maybe that's who you were thinking of.
Yes Anna-Lys my dear we are all still girrrrlllls! ;) ♥ xoxox
Too young.. hmmpf :) at least I was kicking around at that time though on a slightly lower level..
I do remember Petulas DownTown maybe some sibling had it as a single?

Dianne, I agree, Yellow is a great colour, with so many delightful things, sun, Sunflowers, honey, Dafodils, but give me red any day, Red is the colour of love, danger, sex, passion, warnings, Red can never be ignored, Red demands attention and the colour of Hearts, the colour of luscious lips, Roses, sports cars, Such an intense colour with so many vibrant rays and emotions.
Mix our two colours and you come up with a gorgeous shade of Orange... a nice safe colour, still evoking warmth and comfort.
Hugzzzz
David
I thought this was going to be the Chicago song... I like Petula, but prefer "Don't Sleep On The Subway"

Well M my dear I was assuming - and I guess one shouldn't assume that you were about 35 years of age from your photo in your avatar. It was a compliment for a sweet guy.
Thanks for the link, I like 'Downtown' as well, I can remember singing it with my friends. ♥ :) xoxox
Wow David! Such passion, you have blown me away and practically made me speechless, which knowing me would have to be a first. Lol :)
But you know what a happy person I am.
I love Red too, for all of the reasons you have mentioned; true it does demand attention it is warm, vibrant and the colour of hearts and love. ♥
My second favourite colour is Orange, in all of its varying shades, Autumn leaves, sunrise, sunsets, the fruit, hibiscus, marigolds - it too is a happy and warm colour.
Big Hugzzz
back at you. :) xoxoxox
Hi Pete my dear, I like the Chicago song too and I also like Petula's song 'Dont Sleep On The Subway', these songs bring back lots of memories for me. :)
What was that little sign off up there? -PfP, let me guess "Pete for President", well you would probably do a great job. Between you, Boney & K9 you would have all the problems sorted. :) ♥ xoxoxo
