Memories of Green Places

Upon reflection tonight
I find my thoughts
Searching through memories
of places we have been
Thoughts of green places
where once we wandered
amongst verdant vines and leaves
Walking together hand in hand
united in hand and heart
Soft greens and sunlight
their magic bound us
forever, never to part
Where love and light met
and shone with such brilliance
And danced around our hearts ...

Green light coming down from the foliage is so pleasant to spend your time in..

Btw I saw the latest episode of the Dr and thought it was a bit mundane.. :)

Right now I have lots of fresh new green colours in my trees

Yes dear M , it is lovely to be beneath the canopy of leaves and see the beautiful soft green light shining through...
Your trees with their fresh new green colours must be so beautiful.

I saw part of the new episode of the Dr and was so bored with it, I did not watch it all...

Let love and light meet, radiantly through your lovely poem

I'll tell you one thing, I like Lay down under the trees and gaze through the green leaves of light rays that pass and shine. It's like life, but is thick the way, you always see a ray of sunshine and there is hope, sometimes of love, life, happiness ...
thanks for these words of optimism, of longing, too, with your special signature.
Happy week friend!!

Thank you dear Elia , yes it is lovely to lay down beneath the canopy of leaves and see the light diffused to a soft green, then every now and then a little ray of sunshine breaks through and it all looks so beautiful...a time to hope, to love, or just enjoy the beauty ...
sometimes with happiness, sometimes with longing.
I am so pleased that you enjoyed my words.
Happy week to you too dear friend!

dianne said...

Thank you dear Foamy , for your lovely words of praise ... yes love was hopeful way back then when I was young and I think back on memories and how I once felt. It was a long time ago but I can still recall the happiness and the sadness of first being in love. :)

I was bound in a forest once. However it was not nearly as romantic and when I came to, my little pug wallet was missing.

dianne said...

Oh Pugsly , you poor little love, how could anyone be so unkind to you. No it would not have been romantic at all and they stole your little pug wallet ... shame on them.

It is so nice to see you here again my sweet, I have missed you and your amusing comments.

Take care and some hugs for you!

My dear Dianne...The poem is wonderful. For a moment it made me sad because I feel what you felt. But the green leaves on the image to speak of the hope. Similarly, the light that blinks through the trees .. Just great .. Hugs and lots of love my Friend...Mona

dianne said...

Thank you dear Mona , for your thoughtful comment, I am so pleased that you enjoyed my poem and the sentiments and imagery it evoked.
Yes the green leaves in their soft light are beautiful with those little rays of sunshine breaking through, or 'blinks' as you have said which sounds so lovely. An element of sadness that what began there did not last. Love and hugs to you too my friend. :)
