La Pluie

Something bright and cheerful for a change, this sweet little song will have you singing along with happiness and a smile on your face once you have listened to the music and looked at the great images on the video.
The song 'La Pluie' or 'The Rain' is sung by French songstress Zaz (Isabelle Geffroy), I do hope you enjoy it.
I do apologise as I do not have an English translation of the lyrics, I did search on the Net but there seems to be many contradictions in the translations ... maybe someone out there could help me out! Please ... ♥

I don't think the Google Translator on this blog will give an accurate translation but if you aren't a French speaker it will give you some idea of the context of the song.

I loved this one. the music and the imagery. very nice. still has a bit of wistfulness to it. I dont need to translate - thats what the voices and pictures are for!

I just played this tune backwards, and it encouraged me to be rude, avoid bathing and take up chain-smoking.

Thank you dear chickory , I love this song too and I needed to cheer myself up... the images are beautiful, I love looking at the rain and raindrops, the little kitty looking through the window and the scene from 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'.
I have been singing it in French myself and it makes me feel happier.

Oh Pugsley my sweet, I don't believe you, the song played backwards would not encourage you to take up all of these bad habits...well I certainly hope not.:)

Yes Foamy dear, I love the song and the images. Did you see the cute little kitty looking through the window and the one in the arms of Audrey Hepburn, so beautiful?
I am singing it in French, I have just picked up the words from listening to it so many times, no complaints so far, but eventually I will be asked to stop. :)
I'm so pleased that you like it, it is bright and happy.

Bonjour Diane ,

Thanks dear /t.
yes it is a rainy day in France, I like the first verse where the rain surprises and they open up their umbrellas together as if in a dance.
It is a very nice song.
