Petals of Pink

Petals of pink
So soft to touch
The first blush of colour
Since Winter's sleep
The new buds in Springtime
Waiting to bloom
Their petals unfurling
They release their perfume
Flowers so pretty
Their beauty they share
A delight for the senses
In the fresh morning air. . .

Thank you dear Foamy , I thought it would be a prelude to Spring for all of my friends in the Northern Hemisphere, a diversion from the cold ... it is not that far away.

I would also welcome some Spring weather, fresh days with sunshine and no humidity, but instead I am looking forward to the cooler days of Autumn/Fall, they can't come too soon.

Thank you dear chickory yes it is a cheerful poem, just like those pretty tulips in the picture.
I'm pleased that you enjoyed it.
I hoped it would make all of you in the north think of Spring and I could forget about Summer for a while.
There might be some little green tips of snowdrops tomorrow but if not some will appear soon; beautiful flowers they are too.

I hope that you and Foamy enjoy the snow tomorrow night, how pretty that would look. :)

Thank you dear J Cosmo , I am flattered that you think my poem is lovely. :)

Yes, the tulips are sensual, in fact many flowers and their parts are sensual, that is why they are so irresistible to bees.

Dianne,

Your poem makes me long for spring even more;

Here, every february morning so far has been foggy,

And yes, what a lovely picture of tulips you've there!

Hugs

Spring is not far away dearest col and that lovely feeling of springtime mornings, all of your flowers shall be in bloom, clear blue skies and sunshine.
I actually enjoy foggy mornings, they are crisp and cool when all of the flowers, grasses and foliage around you is wet. I can hardly wait for Autumn and the colours it shall bring.
Yes those tulips are lovely, I was fortunate to find the picture.
I'm pleased that you enjoyed my poem.

Hugs to you too. xoxoxo ♡

I seem to be thinking of Spring and for me it is so far away but I am looking forward to the colours and cooler days of Autumn.
It is not so far away for you Ellie dear and I hope that it does bring with it some joy.
I leave words of encouragement for you as I never want you to give up hope, I would like your memories in time to bring you only happiness of that time you shared.
love,Dianne. xoxoxo ♡
