Of Flowers White ...

Le Roses - Marie the artist's wife in the garden at Skagen, 1893

Marie in garden chair at Skagen - 1893

Marie in the garden at Skagen - 1893

Peder Severin Krøyer - Norwegian born - Danish painter
1851 - 1909

Of flowers white
on branches borne

In fields of green
delight the morn

Of purest white
reflect the moon

In morning's rays
bright the dawn

Pretty petals
display their charm

In meadows wild
their scents adorn

Blooming in hedgerows
or jardins faire

A heady fragrance
fills the air

Their beauty
delights us

Everywhere ...

Oh same here same here! How do you always find beautiful words?

dianne said...

Thank you dear HLiza , I'm pleased that you liked my poem.

How do I find beautiful words?

I find and feel so much beauty in all that is around me, there is just so much .. from the colour of a leaf dappled with sunlight, to the many greens of grasses in a field, to the beauty of the sunrise...these things touch my heart and inspire me. ♡

Hi Dianne, love your header title, like Avon's 'here's my heart', ha ha. Very nice.
Love your beautiful pics too.
The flower is the poetry of reproduction. It is an example of the eternal seductiveness of life.

You have a pleasant week and keep a song in your heart, best regards, Lee.

Thanks dear friend K9
pleased you liked the poem and I too like the third painting, the colours are delightful, I should love to spend some time in a garden just like that. ♡
Lol 'the pause that refreshes, ahhhh', wasn't that an ad for coca cola'? :) ♡

Thanks for commenting Uncle Lee , my title has nothing to do with Avon's 'here's my heart', :) more to do with offering the feelings in my heart and my thoughts.

I'm pleased that you loved the pics, I try to find things of beauty for my blog and yes flowers do offer us so much...thanks, you too have a good week and I will keep a song in my heart. ♡

Hello Phossy dear...that is so nice, fresh roses and fresh lemons, how lovely and both with a delightful fragrance. ♡

The art alongside the poetry was as fragrant as a rose in summer- sweet, refreshing, and lovely ♥

Thank you dear Mayden
I'm happy that they pleased you...the poem came first, then I went searching for the images, I liked all three ... I can just imagine the delightful fragrance from that white rose. ♡

Hej I know that one!!!
yep, Krøyer's art is really quite something, saw it also for real in the museum of Skagen...

Thanks for the award, Diane, i will get to it a little later, because you are right with your guess, I am working like mad, actually to total exhaustion, so in the next weeks i hope to be able to return to normal blogging... it's just been so hectic, BUT I'bve got a lot done and I'm proud of it and it definitely was nescessary!

Thanks Diane, really sweet of you to think of me!

Lovely to hear from you Sarah
dear, I knew you would be working too hard but as you say it was necessary.
It is a great feeling of accomplishment when you look at what you have done and you can feel proud of the end result. :)

I really love these paintings by Krøyer, I think they are beautiful,
I like the way he catches the light, they glow with warmth.

The award is there for when you want it Sarah dear,I appreciated the help you offered me... you don't have to do the meme, that's entirely up to you,
As you can see there have been a few changes here, doing some 'house keeping'and re-arranging, a work in progress.

Take care... ♡

dianne,
been looking at some of the changes and additions on your sidebar .. i love them!

dianne said...

Thank you Foamy dearest friend ...
I'm doing some 'housekeeping' and trying out some new ideas.
Some things just had to go, not much point in holding onto some memories as they don't have any sincerity or meaning now...I still have some re-arranging to do as it's getting a little crowded over there. :) ♡

well, it's looking

boooootiful .. :)

what can i say ..
it's still halloween over here .. :)

dianne said...

Lol Foamy dearest, I just love your Halloween avatar... :D

I hope you are having a fun time... the night is still young? ☠ ★ ☾ ♥

All of my 'trick-or-treaters' have long gone, probably still enjoying their sweet 'booty'...though I guess some might be suffering the after effects of too much sugar. :(

I don't mean to rain on your parade. However as a certain pug who is constantly being persecuted with hours upon hours of park cleanup under the guise of "community service", allow me to share that white flowers on the ground look just like discarded kleenex. {{{shudder}}}

dianne said...

Puggles or do you prefer Pugsly ...I was thinking of you last night my sweet, yes I was, I popped over to your blog to say Hi but my computer was misbehaving so I didn't get to leave a comment.
I didn't realise you were working for the Parks Dept. now.
Actually last time we spoke of work we were planning a new development, I thought you were an engineer.
You haven't rained on my parade, yes some white flowers do make a mess when they fall to the ground, you were telling me some time ago that your white azaleas look like toilet tissue after the rain...so do white petunias. :) ♡
