looks kinda like they were attached to a pine tree!

Which one chickory dear, were you referring to the gevillea, it does have fine leaves and the tree behind it is a Melaleuca Armilaris...it has fluffy white brush flowers. ♡

do they smell as beautiful as they look?

dianne said...

Thanks Glyn dear, pleased you liked them, there is still much improvement required in my my photographic technique.
Yes it is Spring here but it's so hot you would think we were into Summer and we desperately need rain.
I don't want any depression :-( is the weather there really that bleak?
I could sure so with some sea breezes and some cooler temperatures. xo ♡

Thanks dear Foamy
yes some do have a lovely fragrance, the birds and bees just love them for their nectar and pollen. xo ♡

You're getting better and better with that camera! Now you remind me how I wanted to plant flowers many months ago..but being unable to drive gets in the way..need to but the necessities..uurghh..

dianne said...

Thank you dearest C.B.
lovely to hear from you again, I have missed you...

I often look at our tree, think of you and look for you...

Thankfully you haven't deserted me...it's caring people like you and my other friends here who keep me going through difficult times.

I hope you are well and that you have found some happiness... ♡

Please don't stay away too long, I will be posting more flowers soon...you know you are always most welcome here. xo ♡

Thank you dear Lamby
they are pretty fowers, I'm pleased that you like them.
You have posted some lovely photos of the area where you live, do you have a garden too, it would be nice to see some flowers from your garden? xo ♡

Thank you dear HLiza you are most kind, I was looking at my photos last night and thinking there is so much more room for improvement.
I see so many macro photos of flowers on the Net showing their intricate detail and hope to accomplish that kind of result one day.
I also think your photographs are wonderful.
I hope your eye will be healed soon, I know how frustrating it is when you are unable to drive because of recovery from an injury or surgery...
I hope you can plant your flowers soon they are so cheerful and bring us so much joy. :)

I was going to plant out a flower garden this year with pretty annuals and perennials but decided against it, I have to find plants that will withstand the Summer heat and lack of water so they will survive and I think the soft leafed plants would suffer...

It's a shame as I would like my garden to look like a meadow filled with pretty blossoms. xo ♡

I especially enjoyed the pic of what "appears" to be a cigarette* being held over the Begonia Elator.

This evoked wonderful, warm memories from the Pug's own childhood, such as mom saying to no one in particular:

"Will someone PLEASE inform Aunt Constance that our Begonia Elator is NOT an ashtray?"

(* I know it's REALLY a reflection of the camera)

Lol Puggles
no sweetie no cigarette there, just my fingers holding the camera but I can see what you mean, at first glance you could mistake it for a cigarette...though not when you enlarge the photo.

No nicotine stains on those fingers or shaped and buffed natural fingernails my dear. :)

Dont you just hate it when people smoke cigarettes and ash them in your plants...Aunt Constance wouldn't like me,I don't smoke cigarettes or anything else for that matter so I ask people who do to politely go outside on the patio where I have an ashtray. xo ♡

No, I don't have a garden, just small shrubbery.

J Cosmo Newbery said...

If that is but a small sample, you must have a lovely garden.

dianne said...

Well dear Lamby
a small shrubbery is lovely, it's always very pleasant to have some green space to look at and enjoy. xo ♡

Thanks dear J Cosmo
I do have a large garden with many plants, its a work in progress, always changing, not as formal as some gardens but then I enjoy some 'wildness'.
I am trying to replicate the surrounding bushland with native plants but some exotics as well, sometimes it gets beyond me...I just don't have the time to do what I would like. xo ♡

they are all really beautiful. do you cultivate a lot of these or are they volunteers? the orchids are super cool.

tell me about the PARTY! i was so happy you were out and about.

dianne said...

Thanks dear K9
Some of the flowers I have bought and some I have cultivated...none of these were brought by my little bird friends.

The orchid flowers are small, just over half an inch in length.

The party was great, I have sent you an email. :-) ♡

Lovely flowers. Winter here, which means more dust. I'd send a picture, but dust is dust.

dianne said...

Thanks dear Phossy pleased you liked the flowers, I will be posting more pics in the future, I have an unusual succulent and a pretty cactus.
Speaking of dust, did you see the photos of the dust storm which I photographed from my house...the post is further down Sept 23. ♡
