GARDEN OF WILDNESS ... For SHE / K9

In my garden of wildness
grow seeds of love

Watered by raindrops
from heaven above

Flowers so sweet of every hue
Petals of white, soft pink and blue

Bright yellow stamens
that reach for the sun

But most of all happiness
for everyone...

This poem is dedicated to She/K9 whose beautiful flowers inspired me to write about the part of my garden which is a happy place and all that grows there is random and wil

what a sweet poem. i am honored! to cultivate a garden is faith in goodness - it restores to health our sorrowful hearts and fills the eye with the glory of creation. taking myself to the woods this week has soothed the bark and growl in me.

i hiked to an amazing waterfall yesterday, the higher we climbed the more brilliant the trees - in two or three weeks this place will be blazing in autumn color. and here you are -approaching spring!

oh but autumn has my heart.

thank you diane. what a thoughtful and much needed gift.

a really beautiful poem, dianne ..
i bet your garden is lovely.
your garden is blooming and growing ..
mine is waning..
it's all as it should be in the garden world..

Sheriff John Brown always hated me. For what, I don't know. Every time that I plant a seed, he said, "Kill it before it grows." He said, "Kill it before it grows."

So gardens are sort of a sore spot with yours truly.

Thanks K9 , it was just a simple poem but it was sincere. I can see from your garden at Chickory and your beautiful paintings that you are in tune with nature and all of the glorious visions it provides.
I love my garden, it gives me so much pleasure and it is my little piece of seclusion from the world at large.
That hike to the waterfall amongst the trees must have been wonderful, I really like getting away to places like that. We have a deep gully behind us and when my children were younger we used to wind our way down the track and just sit on the rocks by the stream and just take in the beauty of it all and watch and listen to nature unfold. Magical place.♥♥

Thank you dear /t. , I'm pleased that you liked my little poem. :)

My garden is beautiful to me, so many shades of green and flowers that just make me happy. I really enjoy the time I spend there.

I remember the photo of your garden from one of your posts, the photo that your wife Ruth had taken, it looked beautiful too.

Thank you dear Foamie , I thought you would appreciate it being the lovely nature girl that you are. You're my beach walking and wilderness walking friend - at heart.

Yes, we are just coming into Spring, my wood violets have just popped up in my wild garden, my November lilies have lots of buds and I have quite a few native plants in flower, the birds just love their nectar.
My garden is evolving like every living thing, I get a new surprise every morning; and as you say yours is waning ready for its winter sleep, I love the rich colours of Fall/Autumn myself but our seasons aren't as beautifully contrasted as yours. ♥ xoxox :)

Puggles my love, who is Sheriff John Brown I have never heard of him?
Why would he stop you from planting your seeds my sweet one, that hardly seems fair, doesn't he like flowers and gardens? ♥ xoxoxo :)

Boney my dearest, I have lots of weeds in my wild garden as they have such pretty, delicate flowers, some I actually encourage. There is one that I particularly like, it has gray/green foliage and pretty soft lavender flowers.
I have many plants which have been brought in by the birds I also like the grasses and sedges that just seem to come up on their own. I let all things there self seed and leave the bulbs to multiply.
Cherry tomatoes are delicious, one of my favourites for salads.

I'm not much of a gardener.. like to let it all grow naturally.. the beauty of nature.

Got some bad conscience today when I saw these couple in the house nearby, there is only one house in sight, they where collecting the leafs from the grass, old people who only use it as a summer place.

I never bother about any leaves and when the next wind arrives whoom..

M dear, natural is good, my garden at the front of the house is quite ordered but not too formal, I like soft lines and drifts of foliage and flowers.
I have wood violets and freesias growing amongst the grass, they look very pretty, they come up every Spring.
I'm not big on raking up leaves either, I do occasionally and put them in the compost which is good for the garden.♥ xoxox :)
