In Solidarity Against Terrorism

The sails of the Sydney Opera House, one of many icons in Australia are illuminated with the blue, white and red colours of the French national flag...in solidarity with France.

For all of my dear friends in France, my French friends and neighbours, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Peace for Paris icon - Jean Julien

Australia's Parliament House lit in blue, white and red as a show of solidarity for the Paris terror attack victims.

Garden of Dreams

Clouds drift by slowly

In a sky of painted blue

Thoughts turn to dreams

When I think of you

I wish that we had met

In another place in time

For my words shall never hold you

You will always be out of reach

But one day should you need me

Or you have a change of heart

Then come to me by moonlight

In the cool breath of the night

For I shall be waiting for you

In the garden of hope and dreams…

Flowers Always Bring Happiness...

A Gerbera Daisy on my kitchen window sill, to my delight it keeps flowering, seven flowers so far.

Three large bouquets, Roses, Daisies and Mini-Carnations. Flowers for my dear elderly neighbour who has just returned from hospital, to bring a little joy into her day ... she loved them.

Soft Morning Thoughts...

I thought I sensed your presence

In the first breath of this day

In a dream-like state

I felt the darkness drift away

Like the soft glow of a candle

You light my morning way

Such a warm feeling

That you have passed this way

The memory of your words

Resonate within me still

In my heart they break the silence

Their warmth always will…

The Emptiness of Your Silence...

In the quiet of early morning

Before the day has begun

I think of you

And wonder how you are

It has been quite some time

Since I have read your words here

You may not think of me now

But to me, your words

Hold the warmth of morning sunshine

I miss you, I miss your friendship

And hope you will find it in your heart

To return one day

For I find myself lost

In the emptiness of your silence

A feeling of coldness pervades

Where your warmth once was

I search for some comfort

In the memory of your words

For that, it seems

Is all I have of you now…

Wherever you may be

Whether you are alone

Or if you have found love

I hope you are happy

And your life is complete...
