As the early morning mist
Rises from the valley floor
It brings with it the fresh fragrance
Of the forest trees and flowers
The air is cool and moist
Its sweet fragrance scents the air
And surrounds me with a feeling
Of happiness that I am here
A feeling of renewal as the sun rises
With its first gentle rays
Of soft golden colours
Which paint and light the sky
With many pastel hues
Soon the sky will be alive
With the full brilliance of the day
But until then I shall enjoy this
Time of cool and peace
Alone with my thoughts
Feeling the beauty and promise of nature
Listening to the songs of birds...

Rain, that would be most appreciated here, we have had so much hot weather for weeks and one day of rain.
If you go floating by I will catch hold of you but I think you would do better to stay up there where it is at least cool. :)
