Mysteries of Love

Sometimes a wind blows
and you and I
float
in love
and kiss
forever
in a darkness
and the mysteries
of love
come clear
and dance
in light
in you
in me
and show
that we
are Love ...

Sometimes a wind blows
and the mysteries of Love
come clear.

Song performed by Julee Cruise

Lyrics : David Lynch
Music : Angelo Badalamenti

thinking of love,
one always & invariably
also thinks of "twin peaks" (music)

as to the mysteries of love, well, when i turned from a boy to a man, my father took me to visit a local booker, whereupon i was introduced to the wonderful world of agatha christie mystery stories and mary westmacott romances

lovely words by david lynch!

Dear /t. when I think of love I hope that it will find me again one day, hopefully before it is too late but if not I will still be content.
I have heard of 'twin peaks' but have not watched one episode, maybe I have missed something.

I think when you turned from a boy to a man that it was unusual that your Father would introduce you to the crime novels of Agatha Christie and her romance novels written as Mary Westmacott ... none of which I have read, though I have watched some telemovies and enjoyed them.
Perhaps I am missing something here also, but I guess the crime novels would hone one's powers of observation and deduction in solving the crimes and you seem to have grown into a good and decent man. :)

Thank you dear Olga , I try to bring harmony to my posts so that they are visually beautiful and the written words are pleasing to those who are kind enough to visit here. :)

Yes dear Leovi , that is true, for when love loses its mystery and excitement it does become routine and can very quickly die.

♥ Jasmin, deine Freundin

dianne said...

Didn't know that David Lynch has done songs together with Badalamenti same guy that use to do music to all his films. I'm not a special fan of Lynch movies think they are a bit too bizarre for my taste. Although His poems here are really good, maybe he has also come to age :)

Just saw the fourth episode of this years series with Amy Pond... :) It was written by Neil Gaiman a famous fiction writer. I thought that it is good you have these broadcasting in Australia. Probably because you are people who think. In all these years they have tried to sell it to US but not a chance since it is always more talking in the story, when you have to use your brain.. than action, when you only have to use your eyes :) fiction writer. M dear I had not heard of David Lynch until I found this song and I don't believe I have seen any of his films...I came across this quite by accident when I found the Alda Merini poem, the song was used as a backdrop to the poem, sung by Antony and the Johnsons, quite nice actually with images of paintings by Klimt.
I just knew you would be excited to see Amy as a swashbuckling pirate, her sword fight was wonderful and I would like her pirate coat and tricorn hat. ;)
Yes I enjoyed this episode, it does make you think, there are so many questions ... what is Amy's relationship to the Dr.? What is happening with her pregnancy? The one eyed womans continual appearance in the wall to Amy? The photograph of Amy holding a baby and the regenerating child, in the alley way and many other strange things, all add up to be quite a mystery inside a riddle wrapped in an enigma! :)

I hope your modem problems are behind you ...I think I would die without my my computer, it is my window to the world, my escape from my daily reality.

Hello Dianne,
Your comment column has been inaccessible, atleast from my computer so i had to wait patiently to get hold of it....

Now, about your poem!

Well, i didn't realise 'Sometimes' could be such a delicious word....

'Sometimes when the wind blows....'....
how they carry me away... the way you show it to me.

i'm so happy to find you in its sweet lightness.

hugging you
col.

dianne said...

Thank you my dearest col , for your lovely comment but I did not write this, they are lyrics to a song written by David Lynch ... but they did speak to my romantic nature.

Yes 'Sometimes' is a word that precedes many possibilities of the romance language and the winds of Love can carry us away and we can glow in its light. :)

Blogger was off line for 24hours so I could not access my blog, nor could any comments be left, very inconvenient.

I hope you are well?
Hugs to you too!
