Gosh, I am cutting it fine tonight, the clock is ticking and time is getting away from me.
Saturday night is usually my time for my 'main' post, well what else am I going to do on a Saturday night? Get a life, well that is easier said than done; I do have a life but perhaps not the one I would have planned or chosen.
I have had a few 'hiccups' today so I have had to resort to posting some pictures from 'Free Wallpapers' ... sorry, but as you can see they are all beautiful photographs and are much better than what I originally had on offer.
I took a couple of photos of some flowers in my garden but unfortunately most were out of focus or not centred, I don't know whether it is the camera or me, I would say it is most likely me.
The only photo that was worthy of posting is the one at the top, it is of my 'white flowering plumbago' which grows in the front garden.
It was so hot and humid here today, the heat was oppressive and it is still warm, I should not complain, at least I am not caught up in the floods, but as it is still hot I have chosen a cool theme.
So no sad poems tonight or sad songs, just some greens and blues which have a cooling effect and if it is snowing where you are just pretend the sun is shining and you are feeling as warm as I am.
Some days are diamonds and some days are ... well you know!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend .... ♥

What a coincidence. I went to see a doctor about some lower back pain, and he said I had Plumbago. I don't trust my new health care plan.
my mom had a fence overflowing with light blue plumbago. its all over florida. enjoy your humid warmth. im freezing and my husband wont let me turn the heat up. i wear a down jacket in my house!
i feel your pain on the photos. just keep trying!
whatup, pug.
where the hell is /t?
I used to go out every saturday..kinda dating new guy..today i took a break..from the guy also ;)..
had a great time with myself.
hope u had a great weekend too..
and thanks for being there
lots of love
Great series full of poetry, green landscapes that invite you to dream and romance, all beautifully .
Green and Blue are so soothing to the eyes, eh?! Glad to know that you are not affected by the floods.
i'm imagining taking a good whiff of the plumbago and then sneezing (wait! no sneeze. this is my fantasy) and then taking a walk through one of those grassy fields and laying right down in the middle of all that luscious grass.
actually, i did take a walk today and loved it. nothing like walking through cold brisk air. it's invigorating!
The top one still looks beautiful to me..I have no chemistry with camera too at times..don't worry. I have a feeling the camera can sense my mood..LOL.Happy weekend Dianne..no matter what you do, hope smile is with you.
Sorry that you have lower back pain Pugsley my sweet, yes Plumbago does sound like an ailment as in lumbago.
It's called Plumbago because many species in the genus have flowers that are lead coloured, and plumbum, in Latin, means lead.
I hope you will be all better soon my sweet.

Thanks dear chickory I shall keep trying with the photos, but it is disappointing.
I have the pale blue plumbago, the white and a deeper blue which is called 'Royal Cape', it is very hardy and can take over a garden with all of the suckers that it sends up. I trim mine like a rounded hedge when it gets too unruly.
There is nothing enjoyable about humid warmth, give me cold any day, but not freezing, you can always put some clothing on to warm up but it is more difficult to cool down. You will have to insist that V lets you turn the heat up.
I think I was born in the wrong hemisphere, my ancestors came from the North, such as England, Scotland, Ireland and France all over Europe probably, quite a mix and I think there is some deep seated yearning within me to live in a cooler climate.
I don't know what has happened to /t., perhaps he is taking a break from the Internet, I do hope that he is OK.

I am so pleased to hear that you are getting out dear Shweta , it is fun to go out and good that you have a new guy.
It is also nice to have a break for yourself but don't isolate yourself too much, make sure you go out with your friends as well.
Yes, I am always here for you, maybe I should listen to some of my own advice! :)
love to you too. xoxoxo ♡
Thank you dear Leovi yes they are beautiful green landscapes, they are romantic and do invite you to dream, Nature has such a beautful palette of greens and blues.
Saludos xoxoxo ♡
Yes dear Opaque , green and blue are so soothing and have a cooling effect, as I have just said above, Nature has such a beautiful palette of greens and blues.
Thank you, yes I am so pleased that I am not in the flood areas but I still have to be watchful for bushfires in this summer heat, the worst is yet to come.

I feel sorry for you with your hayfever dear Foamy , I am guessing that the warmer months are a nightmare for you with all of the pollens around.
Yes those green grassy fields do look beautiful and inviting, one could have a lovely walk through them and rest in the shade of a tree or just lay back in that lush grass and look at the sky, watching the clouds roll by, that is my fantasy.
I am glad that you loved your walk today, it is enjoyable when it is cold and the air is brisk. I am looking forward to the cooler days of late Autumn and then Winter.

Thank you dear HLiza yes the top photo was the only one worth posting here.
Maybe as you say the camera did sense my mood as I was hot and uncomfortable.
I took some in the morning but the sun glare was too harsh and then in the afternoon I still had photos which were out of focus, better luck next time I hope.
Yes dear I am still smiling I hope you are too! :)

I needed to see those pictures Dianne, to make me feel Springlike. :O) It's pretty miserable, weatherwise, here in the u.k. just now. That plumbago is gorgeous! I quite often take photos of plants in the garden and then when I upload them to the computer, they look awful.... sometimes there's a bit of doggy poo I hadn't noticed when I took the photo.... or a sweetie wrapper blown in by the wind! :O) I think we all have the same problems.
Glad you're not sad tonight. Also glad you're not in the flooding zone.
I was tickled with the plumbago picture. We have some in the garden here, the blue variety. An unassuming plant but nectar to butterflies and green in our white-hot summers.
Not to worry about 'main post'. Life goes on.
Yes dear Lesley ,
there is something calming and cooling about a beautiful landscape with a lovely blue sky, those photographs are really restful and inviting to look at, you want to exploe more.
The white flowering plumbago grows very well and is so forgiving in the heat of our Summers; sorry to hear that the weather there is so miserable, but your Spring will bring many blessings. :)
I often find that when I have taken a photo there will be something in it that I had not noticed like a lot of weeds; I must not fret hopefully there will be more flowers to photograph and perhaps next time I shall get them in focus.
xoxoxo ♡
Thanks dear Kathleen
yes I am so thankful that I am not in the flooding areas. I was disappointed with the photographs but as you say, life goes on. :)
The love my plumbago plants, they are always green and when in flower look so pretty. I have the pale blue and a deeper blue as well, the butterflies do enjoy the nectar.
It is a very hardy plant and is very forgiving in our hot Summers.

The photos are very refreshing - cooling. Thank you.
Thank you dear Lee you are most welcome; they are cool and inviting, I wish I was somewhere like that right now!

beautiful images & hot & humid - wish i was there. cold & frigid & wet snow falling here.
nice blog, & thanks for stopping by mine.
Thank you rdl ,
pleased that you liked my blog, you visited here back in June, 2010 ... I thought I would have a look at your blog/blogs, lovely poetry.
These images here are green and inviting but I doubt that any of these places are as warm as here.
I would love some cool and snow. :)
xoxoxo ♡
Dianne, such a lushful soothing green, you make me yearn for the spring even more loudly,
Love the images, but your plumbago certainly has a special place.
hugs, hugs , hugs!
Thank you dearest col , green and blue in the landscape are such soothing, cooling colours;
I am so pleased that you enjoyed these images, I thought that they were so beautiful. I would love to be able to step into each image and lose myself in the grasses and foliage.
Your Springtime will be here very soon with all of the wonderful colours and fragrances of grasses, foliage and flowers and of course the warmth of the sunshine.
Yes my plumbago deserves a special place here, it delights me every time I look at it with its green leaves and pretty white flowers. It is the home to many small birds and some protection for a small, shy echidna (superficially they resemble hedgehogs and porcupines) who lives in my garden ... so many blessings.
