Dangerous Liaisons

"My Dearest One"
That is how I should like to address you
But you have no idea of my feelings
or how your words touch me
I long for each word
each one warms my heart
and sparks a fire within me
One that belies the boundaries of friendship
a deeper feeling of affection
Between each line
there is so much left unspoken
Words of affection that I dare not say
nor my feelings could I reveal
In fear of losing what we have
You are not free to love me
for you love another
And I could not betray that trust
I dream that one day
I should like to finish a letter
"With All My Love"...
But I must put aside
all foolish thoughts of love
And your friendship must always be enough ...

Poem by Dianne D.

The greatest love of all must be
to not ask for the love of another

do you keep a journal? it's beautiful including the content.

That's beautiful, Dianne. It shows all the warmth of your heart without any of the inner hurt that caused so much concern a while back. Like "The Saddest Farewell" and as Anna-Lys said, smooth as a kitten. And a warm kitten, too.

Thank you dearest Anna-Lys ,
I'm pleased that you liked my little heartfelt poem ... yes sometimes we must sacrifice our own feelings in order to keep the friendship of a loved friend, so that we do not hurt them or the one they love.

Yes Phossy dear, so true, 'unrequited love', but I am not unhappy, I have so much to be thankful for. xoxo ♡

Thank you dearest Foamy I'm so pleased that you enjoyed my poem.
The journal is beautiful, I have had it for about five years, I chose it for its beautiful cover, it reminds me of botanical drawings of flowers.
It is not a diary where I write the events of the day, it is a book of my poems which are handwritten, some quotes which have touched me and I wished to keep, some pressed flowers and fragments of love letters from long ago.
If you wish to copy the image/images please do and print them for yourself, you could cover your own journal and maybe laminate the picture.

Thank you dear Lee that is very kind of you, I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it; yes my heart is warm and I am not sad, sometimes we just have to let go of a love we would want but cannot have.

i have'nt been chopping onions.

i simply think your poems are marvellous, as far as i m concerned they move me so strongly, because they written by you!

i will choose to read your poems than Shelley's, or Browning or Cummings or any other....

i can find their poems anywhere. but yours, i can find only here.
This one goes straight to my heart!

Hi Diane, thanks for your comment!
yeah, we are alright, BUT we're completely dedicated to the renovations right now, so I had almost no time on the net and had for some time made all my blogs private (security reasons, some people didn't like some political articles which I published in a different media and also frankly: my blogs are a mess. So the first 2 which have been tidied up are the B&B- blog and the gallery-blog and that's why I have been opening them again.
as for the building work: our gallery opens this coming Saturday, even though we're not done at all, but we have already come a long way! So it's gonna be interesting to see how it all works out!
Anyways: nice to hear from you again!

oh meant to say: i really liked the post with the french paintings and the pressed flowers are beautiful, too!

Thank you dear Shweta for your compliments, it is so nice when lovely people such as yourself appreciate what I write.
I will keep writing poems for as long as I am inspired to do so, sometimes they just flow and other times I struggle to find the words to express my feelings.
I hope you are feeling better?
Take care little one

Dearest Col thank you my sweet friend you are such a romantic and you are far too kind to me with your thoughtful comments and praise of my poems.

Yes you will almost always find me here or some of my prose, I shall keep writing for as long as I am inspired by the beauty of flowers, the natural world and the feelings of emotions whether they are happiness or sadness or of love.

I am the one who is in awe of your poetry, your romantic poems take my breath away, I could only hope to write poetry with such profound insight and beauty.

Why thank your dear J Cosmo ,
it is always nice to have a poet such as yourself compliment my words.
Yes unrequited love and love itself is an inspiration for many of us to write words of prose which come from the depths of our hearts.

Dear Sarah-Sofia I knew you had been busy with your renovations and it was lovely last night when I visited your blog to see your photos and how hard you have worked to make your B&B so beautiful. The decor and the sumptuous furnishings and art are a credit to your good taste.
I wish you all the best for your gallery opening on Saturday.
Thanks, I'm pleased that you enjoyed the French paintings and the pressed flowers.
Nice to hear from you again.

I'm very much better now, thanks Dianne. Classes are from monday, so the laziness is coming to its end :)

xoxoxo :)

dianne said...

Thatis good news dear Shweta
I am so pleased to find that you are feeling better.
I don't believe it was laziness, you have worked very hard and sometimes we feel a little overworked and don't feel motivated to do things.
Hope the classes go well from Monday. :)
Take care and good luck little one,

love Dianne xoxo ♡

Just ... wow. I'm going to print it out and pretend it's for me. Then I'll place it next to the glossy picture of that lady who came with that frame when I purchased it from Walmart. However THIS time I will not take those items to work; because the last time I did, the lady just by coincidence showed up in the lobby.

dianne said...

Pugsley my sweet, surely you have someone in your life who loves you and you don't have to pretend ... I would think you would have many love letters written to you that you could place beside a framed photo of a real person or persons who love you.
I do have a great affection for you as a friend my sweet, so no pretense there. ♡
I wouldn't recommend taking such personal items to work as they are private.

in scent of spring gathering
flowers of grace
words of light
spark in a heart then chase
racing pulsating
burning inside
rising and turning
ever which side
yearning and learning
weaving till free
on the waves across mountains
riding moon beams
streams of love living
sewing all hearts
in dreams of forever
connecting all parts.

..peace..

My last dangerous liaison involved a wall outlet and a paper clip. As with most chancey things, I got burned...

dianne said...

Yes Phossy dear, as tempting as some liaisons might be you just know that you will get burned and too many others get hurt as well, so it is best to just keep your feelings to yourself and remain friends.
Sorry you got burned, you must not stick metallic objects into power outlets... well you already know that...thanks for the advice.

Craftsman of light said...

so intriguing Dianne!!!
was wondering to whom these lovely phrases flow!

dianne said...

Dearest, kindest Craftsman ,
it is complicated, some of these lovely phrases are just feelings put into poems, others are for someone whom I care for but the depth of feeling and affection is not returned.
Sad, but probably time to let go of my feelings and give up hope.

Love
Dianne. xoxoxo ♡
