Vive Le Tour de France

Lake Annecy / Annecy-Semnoz Stage 20

Congratulations to all of the participants of Le Tour de France for your ability, strength and endurance, you all deserve to win.
I have been spending many evenings and early mornings in front of the television watching this wonderful event unfold...later today, Paris. I wish I could be there.
I have also marveled at the spectacular beauty of the landscape of France at every stage, especially the aerial footage of the forests with their magnificent trees, the green countryside, beautiful cows, The Pyrenees, the majesty of the Alps, in particular the Haute-Savoie region, Annecy and Annecy-Semnoz... so many places I would love to visit one day. There are some great video highlights and places of beauty to view at the official Le Tour website. Enjoy, if you have a chance.

Hello Dear Dianne!
Excellent post. I am glad that I can be loved by you virtual friend.
During this year's holiday was in Annecy. This is wonderful. In the near future will show a great town.
I send kisses and greetings.

Hello dear Lucia !
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I realise that all of Europe, including Poland, Italy and Spain is beautiful. It is wonderful for me who lives so far away to get this opportunity with Le Tour to see so much of France and glimpses of its bordering countries.
Ah Annecy, how wonderful for you to holiday there, I have seen some photos before, such a beautiful place and I look forward to your photos in the future.
Warm greetings and kisses.

I am ashamed to admit that I couldn't give a Cul d'un rat aboput cycling. Scenery's sweet though. Slept through it. (shrug).

Thanks dear Leovi for your comment, I would love to go to Le Tour, for the atmosphere, the cycling and the magnificent scenery...you are so close, just over the border.
I was thinking how lovely it would be to be driving along those same roads in a convertible car in the Summer, stopping at the villages, meeting the people, how exciting it would be.

Oh well dear J Cosmo cycling is not everyone's favourite sport...the scenery was magnificent.
I loved riding my bicycle when I was younger, I used to ride everywhere, such freedom riding through the forest trails.

That's OK dearest Foamy , cycling is not everyone's 'cup of tea'. Thanks I did derive much pleasure from the cycling and the magnificent scenery.
It's great to be cycling along in the sunshine, the breeze blowing in your hair.

Thank you Elia sweet friend for your thoughtful words. I am fortunate here as I can watch Le Tour live on the television. It begins late and into the early hour of the morning. A great view of the race and the beautiful countryside from the aerial footage and cameras. Not quite the same as being there and soaking up the excitement of the atmosphere but wonderful just the same.

kisses and hugs ^^
