Bittersweet Love

In the Springtime of our love
When everything was new
I loved you so dearly
And I hoped you loved me too
Your words were so tender
And bound me to you
Like a new bud blossoming
I opened my heart to you
Season after season
My love grew each day
And Flower after flower
My love blossomed for you
In every way ...
But somewhere along our journey
Your love faded away
Gone with winters coldness
You drew your love away
Now in winters darkness
I search for you each day
Along the path of loneliness
For you to light my way
But I cannot find you
Just memories of our love
Faded petals blown away
Lost symbols of my love
No more bright tomorrows
Oh bittersweet pain of love ...

A beautiful declaration of love, sensitivity,
you amaze me more every day!
I like 'dancing in the rain', is like a double sense: besides beautiful, you always have to dance even though we are in a storm!

Have a nice weekend, my friend, your heart is always in an eternal spring and your heart will continue to speak through the words!

besos

My love never fades because I use the gentle wash cycle, mild detergent and no bleach. Then I avoid the dryer.

Oh Pugsly my sweet, I know that your love would never fade. I think you should be hand washed with special care and dried with a fluffy towel ... no way would I put you in the dryer as you might shrink and burn your little paws.

(i'm told) to
have loved and lost

Thank you dear /t. for your kind words, I am pleased that you liked my poem...yes 'tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
It would be far sweeter if love stayed and didn't leave at all, for parting is such sweet sorrow.

Yes, in the spring all loves are beautiful, tender and seem eternal, but eventually the flowers wilt and only memories remain. A beautiful poem Dianne .....

dianne said...

Thank you Leovi dear friend, yes love and its flowers wilt and all we have left are memories...why does it have to be that way I wonder? Sometimes love fades before it has a chance to begin. I am pleased that you liked my poem, it was difficult to open up these feelings and write about them.

Amiga Dianne.En las largas noche de tu soledad, tus nostalgias vuelan hacia ese pasado que añoras.
Pero el pasado no vuelve, todos son quimeras, todos son sueños irrealisables.
Un fuerte abrazo

dianne said...
