White Silences

I sit here in solitude
With thoughts of you
Memories of conversations
Between me and you
Of kind words and flowers
And green leaves on trees
Now gone forever
Taken by the breeze
Snow falls around me
Without a sound
Leaves follow closely
Floating softly to the ground
Not a breath can be heard
Not a voice, not a sound
In the silence of the forest
Solace can be found
I lose myself in memories
Of moments spent with you
In the cold white silences
Amidst softly falling snow.

Pozdrawiam. *** Fortunately, nature wakes up again and we will not have just mentioned. Yours

This is beautiful. I can sense the silence of this freshly fallen snow. it can make for a contemplative mood.

And to think it's not marred be yellow snow yet. (sorry, couldn't resist).

Thanks dear Lee , yes a sad poem, even more so before my edit...
"Teardrops cannot be heard
as they fall softly to the ground
in the silence of the forest".
It is a sensitive poem about feelings and loss of hope using apsects of nature as metaphors.
I hope you enjoyed it anyway?

Thank you dearest Foamy for your lovely comment; I am pleased that you could sense the silence and solitude I hoped to evoke with my words.
No, the snow is still pristine, not a sign of yellow. ;)

Snow has always been associated with sadness, cold heart and sorrow. I just hope there's a slight ray of light in the midst of it all..

Unrequited love. Is there a way out?

dianne said...

Yes dear J Cosmo , there is a way out, one just has to try and forget about love altogether, that should work.

For the loneliness harms every memory we have to pair it with a hope. Besos.

Amiga Dianne.

This is why I tape everything. Conversations, leaves onto trees etc. I've even been know to tape a lady to the furniture.

dianne said...

Thank you dear Leovi for your thoughtful words. Sometimes the memories remind us too much of what we have lost and how lonely we feel now and then we don't feel hopeful at all.

Yes, watch the snow fall is very poetic, relaxing and evocative, unlike the rain is more visual and completely silent. Besos.

Yes dear Leovi , I have only once stood beneath falling snow, for me a surreal experience, it was silent and beautiful, evocative too, lost in one's thoughts.

The best thing about memories is that we can give you the time we want, we can make fast or slow, even stop them. Besos.

dianne said...

Yes dear Leovi , we can enjoy our memories whenever we want to, enjoy them at our leisure.
I do love the rain too, I like standing in the rain and having it splash on my face, its taste, the different sounds, from a light shower to a heavy downpour, its fragrance, as afterwards everything smells beautiful and fresh.
