A Fragrant Bouquet

The weather today was quite a mix; it began with a hot sunny morning and a warm blustery wind which persisted throughout the day, well into the afternoon. While I was watering my plants the warm air was scented with the beautiful citrus aroma of the oils from the leaves of the lemon-scented tea tree. It was delightful, so I decided to pick a little bouquet of flowers. I always like having fresh flowers in the house, especially on my kitchen window sill.
So in this small bouquet you will find a mix of spicy yellow and French vanilla marigolds, their scent is divine. The sweet scent of miniature pansies, lemon-scented tea tree and in the small vase the blossoms and leaves of the Lemon Scented Myrtle, a delicious mix. This afternoon the sky became overcast with clouds and a darkening sky, so thankfully now it is much cooler and hopefully it will be cooler tomorrow, perhaps some rain.

There is a local tavern that tries to be "upscale" by serving "fancy drinks" like the ones in your first picture. It's a convenient way for me to get my daily serving of veggies.

Thanks and lovely to see you Pugsly my sweet. I have not been to a tavern in many years but some of the more 'trendy' cafe's serve fancy drinks which look more like a garden than a beverigde but they taste great.
You must make sure you get your daily serve of veggies and fibre my sweet. :)

beautiful writing - i felt i could detect the fragrance your descriptions were so good. I will be looking for french vanilla marigolds -much more lovely than our super yellows and orange ones. and you have tea tree too? I think that last shot with evidence of a visitor is divine and the flower itself is so exotic. I love your poetry and the art you post - but glimpses into your home and yard are among my favorites. have you ever posted the kitchen window? Id like that sometime. Lovely Dianne. xo

Hi Dianne!

The variety of yellow hues in your bouquet by the window is divine! I love the scent of French vanilla! Makes me want to drink them he he.

Hope you get the rain you need and as little heat as possible :D

Zazdroszczę bukieciku i zapachów. Ja na swój ogrodowy bukiet jeszcze sporo będę musiała poczekać :-(. Piękna jest ostatnia roślina. Pozdrawiam.

I envy bukieciku and odors. I am in your garden bouquet still a lot I will have to wait :-(. Beautiful is the last plant. Yours.

Thank you dearest chickory for your kind and encouraging comment.
I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this post, I am so tired of sad poems so this is nice for a change.
The French Vanilla marigolds don't have a vanilla fragrance but still they are lovely, their name has more to do with their creamy colour, though mine look more like a pale yellow in this photo.
I was so excited to see that grey feather left behind as the birds are there often drinking the sweet nectar from the flowers.
I did post a photo of my kitchen window some time back but I will eneavour to create more posts like this one.
Thanks sweet girl.

Thank you dearest Foamy for your lovely words. I am happy that my flowers and post brightened your yucky day.
Yesterday, Thursday was perfect here, a clear blue sky, sunshine and a gentle cooling breeze, so much better than Wednesday, it was far too hot.
I'm sorry that your weather is icky, rainy and cold, try and keep warm and dry little sweet pea. :)

Thank you dear Fiona for your lovely words. I am always picking little bouquets from my garden, it is so nice to bring some colourful and fragrant flowers into the house.
I love the flavour of French Vanilla also but these marigolds don't have a vanilla fragrance, but still their scent is lovely; the name has more to do with their creamy colour, though in this photo mine look like a pale yellow. The colours do all look beautiful mixed in together and the fragrance is divine.
The weather was much cooler yesterday, no sign of rain yet but soon I hope, thank you.
Love, Dianne.
