A Little Way ...

A little way past the gate
Beyond the garden wall
A lovely place to escape
I hope to see it all
Past the hedge
The stone ledge
Where daisies seek the sun
And lavenders grow against the wall
Such a fragrant garden edge
There beside the path I find
Red roses still in bloom
Lasting past their Summer blush
As Winter will come soon
Basking in the Autumn sun
They release their sweet perfume
Sweet petals, so soft to touch
Such a lovely afternoon
Other flowers begin their rest
And await their Winter sleep
But the roses remain in full blush
Such a lovely memory to keep ...

Yes, the Autumn sunshine is most beautiful, it still has some warmth and in the afternoon as the rays lengthen and fade a slight chill in the air...and some Summer flowers still blossom, so beautiful in this light.

Hi Dianne,
At the moment i'm more and more away from the blogging world....
Ofcourse, my sweetest thoughts goes to you nevertheless.

i've been working hard and now its holidays time,
i'm going to see my friends ,the ones i grew up with, i've also been missing my mom and my sister,

i'll peek into your space from India to read your beautiful poems in the salty sea breeze of the evenings.

Meanwhile, may happiness be yours, let it come and lift you.

Millions of hugs.

Take care of yourself my Sweet friend....And thankyou for the gifts from your beautiful Soul!

Dearest Col thank you for your lovely words and for calling by ... I was wondering how your were and hoping that you were well as my sweetest thoughts always go out to you too.
I was so pleased to see your Autumn post, then I knew that you were alright.
It will be lovely to go home to India for a holiday, to rest from work and rejuvenate and see your
Mom, sister and friends, so nice to reconnect.
I hope that happiness, inner peace and love will always be your constant companions.
That salty sea breeze in the evenings sounds so inviting... I used to live by the sea and it is always refreshing especially after a hot day.
Thank you for your wishes for my happiness, I am content and accepting of my present situation, sometimes we are not loved by whom we would wish, but what a wonderful gift to feel love for someone else.
I hope that you will still call by when you have the time, it is always lovely to hear from you. I should be the one thanking you and I do for all of the precious gifts you have given me from your beautiful Soul.
Take care now dear friend and I send you much love and many hugs.
