Another Day ... Un autre jour

Another day
Another time
Your words mean so much to me
I wonder if you will ever know
Just how much they touch me so
They give me hope, a small reprieve
Another day to believe
That I shall read your words to me
In another place in time
Precious memories from the past
I hold them in a gentle heart
I live to hope another day
When your kindness
Takes away the grey
And your words shall bring
Some sunshine
Into all of my tomorrows ...

Poem - Dianne D ... ♥

My words have a very limited shelf-life because I refuse to use preservatives. So I recommend consuming them when they are as fresh as possible. A lady in Akron found this out the hard way when she found them to be stale and moldy, and then tried to obtain a refund. Luckily in that case she was convinced of the mold's medicinal value. However now I have to add a disclaimer to every package.

dianne said...

Thank you dear /t. for your sweet comment.

Yes Spring is not far away and I look forward to those lovely, fragrant, sunny days.

My wheelbarrow just needs a good wash, her name is 'Daisy'. :)

Thank you Pugsley my sweet, you are so cute and funny.
These words of yours are so precious to me I shall consume them immediately or I shall preserve them for my private collection. They are not stale at all and I don't detect any mould;in fact they are very fresh, so I won't be seeking a refund nor do I require a disclaimer. :)

When those words 'Un autre jour' are written at the end of a letter they do give one some hope of yet another correspondence or another day, it can make one's heart fill with joy.

Thank you Judy dear for your thoughtful comment. Yes I do love to receive hand-written letters. I love the envelopes, the first introduction to the words inside to be revealed and savoured, the paper is tactile with a special texture and fragrance, the words on the page conveying the message of the writer in ink or pen, sometimes a postscript, so lovely to hold and read.
