Far and Away ...

Thoughts of you
who are so far away
I wonder what you do
to fill your days
Let go of the past
and find your way

Have you travelled enough
to find what you seek
Is your heart now fulfilled
and your life complete?
The soft days of Spring
have now come and gone
And Summer now warms
with her brilliant sun ...
Will you return to us soon
before Autumn colours the trees
And did you find that the yellow flowers
still bloom in Tuscany?

Poem : Dianne D ... ♥

Nice poem, I love the horizon at sea and in the plain, because although
which progress remains always the same distance, you get an illusion and

Thank you dear Leovi for your thoughtful words ... I love looking at the horizon where the sky meets the sea and across a meadow of flowers until they are distant blur of colour and meet the sky, a beautiful illusion.

Gracias, querido Leovi por sus palabras reflexivo ... Me encanta mirar el horizonte donde el cielo se une con el mar ya través de un prado de flores hasta que se desenfoque distantes del color y de encontrarse con el cielo, una bella ilusión.

Thank you dearest Foamy I'm pleased that you liked my poem ... apparently the yellow flowers were blooming in Tuscany when this lovely travel photograph was taken; it is a shame that they are having a drought.

Do we ever find what we want? What we need? What we search for? Fair question.

I once saw a movie in Tuscany, I found a charming place, though I've never had occasion to admire the beautiful colors of the landscape by the sea.

Per if I have the opportunity to admire your beautiful lyrics, your beautiful poems.

Have a happy weekend.

dianne said...

They are fair questions dear J Cosmo , I think some people do find what they want, need and search for ... as for me I am unsure about what I want now, but whatever it is I know I do not have it. I have given up on many hopes and dreams.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment.

Yes, the target of these poems would be most fortunate but I can only expect his friendship, but that is OK. According to our last communication he is away travelling for six months, I hope he finds what he is searching for ... perhaps he will return in the Autumn, I doubt that he ever visits here now.

Dianne,
There's something very special about 'your poems'....nostalgic, sensitive, yet like an open field calling the wind, the birds, the mornings from a elswhere land that belongs only to you.

Besides you speak of Tuscany....i hope to go there to lose myself in the autumn landscapes of lovely Italia....a land so beloved to me and make some lovely pictures.

Bravo, Dianne for a poem deeply moving and beautiful as a loveletter.
a hundred thousand happy thoughts to you.
warmly hugging.
col.

nb: i'm going to do my next post and spend 2 weeks into my inner journey. i will spend time doing only breathing, silence, cutting off from the telephone, computer, reading, writing along with a bit of fasting....connecting to the raw wilderness within.

dianne said...

Thank you my dearest col , you are very generous with your praise of my poems, you are very sweet to me.
You seem to understand that this 'world of elsewhere' that you speak of does exist for me and belong to me, it is a nostalgic and sensitive place manifested from my thoughts, feelings, warmth and imagination...and my disappointments, of which there have been many.
Some of my poems have been directed to a particular person whom I have never met but whom I have communicated and shared with for quite some years now; my opinion of him has grown from our many written conversations and his kindness to me and mine to him. You can form an opinion about a person without having met them; it will never be a romance or love for he does not see me in that light so I don't hope for anything but his friendship and besides there have been other people whom I care for and they have also inspired a few poems. :)
I guess my poem is sensitive like a love letter because I care for his happiness and welfare...he is also on a journey searching for something but he has been gone for such a long time...I wonder if he will ever return.

Yes Tuscany...where the yellow flowers bloom in Spring, or so I so I have read. I would love to go there some day and see for myself. Such a beautiful place to lose yourself in the Autumn landscapes of Italy; a place that is beloved to you so I look forward to your pictures of sensitivity and beauty.

Enjoy your inner journey, your cleansing of the mind and body, shutting out the world and being in touch with your inner spirit dear friend... but please don't stay away for too long, I will miss you too much.

I need some of those hundred,
thousand happy thoughts you have sent me and your warmly huggings :)
... much love and warm hugs to you dearest col.
Dianne.

Yes the yellow flowers are beautiful and they are from a photograph in Tuscany, nothing so beautiful and growing in abundance around here at present.
Have a lovely Sunday too! :)

I enjoy your poetry. For this one, I pretended your questions were directed exclusively at me.

***

I wonder what you do
to fill your days

I go to the Cinnabon Shop at the mall, and lecture people attempting to buy them, about calories and proper nutrition.

Have you travelled enough
to find what you seek?

Indeed I have. It was a rare Pug Pez dispenser that ejects Pez candy from the wrong end.

Is your heart now fulfilled
and your life complete?

I've been repeatedly told that the required items are on back-order and to stop calling.

Will you return to us soon
before Autumn colours the trees?

I return to the trees all the time, being a Pug and whatnot.

And did you find that the yellow flowers
still bloom in Tuscany?

Unfortunately they only had white ones that I had to colorize myself.

XOXOX,
Pugsly

dianne said...

Oh Pugsly my sweet, I am so pleased that you enjoy my poetry and I love what you have done here... you always have the knack of making me laugh and lightening up any situation, you are a treasure. :)

We don't have a chain of Cinnabon Shops here, well I have not seen any but I don't get out much ... however we do have cinnamon buns. So you are doing a public service by educating people about nutrition.

It would be a rare Pez dispenser if it was in the shape of of a Pug dog and the candy ejected from the wrong end...I have not seen one but I am sure it is very cute.

I hope the required items to fulfill you heart arrive soon, I don't like it when things are promised but are never delivered on time.

Yes of course you would return to the trees often my sweet, that is what Pugs do.

White flowers are lovely, did you paint them yellow or did you 'pee' on them?! :)

XOXOXOX

Dianne. ♡

dianne, all of your poems are charming and thoughtful. You have a very victorian vibe with these, and i often visualize you in this manner.

I want to thank you, for the sweet note that you left on my blog last week. I have been very sick, and still am, and could not do much of anything. I got that note when on top of my 5 day headache from sinus pressure, i learned that i didnt win a prize in the Bohemia beer Frida Kahlo Challenge. It really healed me - your words. You are very special to me and you know that i will always be there for you in good and hard times.

much love to you.

btw, yesterday I got a note from Bohemia. They said they really liked the piece, and asked me the price of it. Im waiting to hear now - so - it might be a good thing after all.

Thank you dearest chickory , I am happy that you enjoy my poetry, that means so much to me. Sometimes I think I should have liked to have been born in the Recency period, around the time of Jane Austen, it seemed like a romantic era according to some novels and poems that I have read. I can easily imagine myself as Elizabeth Bennet walking around the countryside but in truth I think it would have been a struggle for a woman to make a name for herself in society and literature in her own right. I am fortunate to have been born into a more enlightened society though we still have a way to go.

I wanted to let you know how much I value you as a person, a confidante and as a friend,I have great respect for you as a woman, as an artist, your care for the environment that you so love and for your kindness and care of your beautiful dogs and hens.
We often fail to tell the people in our lives how important they are to us, how we look to them as an example of goodness and let them know that they are loved in a special way.
I am sorry that you are ill, I had no idea that you have been suffering from a sinus infection, yes the pain and pressure can be unbearable ... I hope you will be well soon and I am pleased that my words lifted your spirits ... I think of you and a couple of my close blog friends every day.

It's a shame you didn't win the competition, the standard must have been extremely high but then again sometimes I cannot understand why some art is chosen and other works are overlooked. Good news that Bohemia have been in contact with you, they may use your entry for some further ads or promotion, don't forget your commission. :)
Much love to you dear friend.
