Isobella by Enya

[Irish (Gaelic) Translation]
I do bheatha sa tus, sa deireadh,
I do bheatha sa tus, sa deireadh.
Isobella, o
Isobella, o
I do la 's tu go samh
I do la 's tu go fior.
Gra, anois go deo na ndeor.

I do bheatha sa tus, sa deireadh
I do bheatha sa tus, sa deireadh
Isobella, o
Isobella, o

I do la 's tu gan buairt
I do la 's tu gan bron
Gra, anois go deo
Gra, anois go deo na ndeor.

(English Translation)

In your life in the beginning, in the end
In your life in the beginning, in the end
Isobella, o
Isobella, o

In your day while you were so peaceful,
In your day while you were so true,
Love, now forever and ever,

In your life in the beginning, in the end
In your life in the beginning, in the end
Isobella, o
Isobella, o

In your day while you were without trouble,
In your day while you were without sorrow,
Love, now forever,
Love, now forever and ever.

Out of morning and into midnight,
Through the sunrise and under moonlight.
Isobella, oh!
Isobella, dream of me.

Everything that comes from day
Comes into the heart to stay.
Love is in your name each day.

In the moment you come before me,
In that moment I see you only
Isobella, oh!
Isobella, dream of me.

Everything that comes from night
Comes within your shining light.
Love is in your name each night.

Irish Gaelic language is a very difficult language to read, not many of the words are pronounced the way they are spelt and even more difficult to translate into English.
From what I can read here the Irish/Gaelic verses end at verse four - Love, now forever and ever.
I would say the other four verses have only been added in English by Roma Ryan.
I hope you all enjoy this beautiful song, especially my dear friend Alexandre. ♡

Yes Lee dear, it is a quiet, gentle and soothing song so I guess it would be appropriate for the morning of a funeral.

enya reminds me of the pain clinic i used to go and get the blocker shots into my spinal cord area. very stressful job for the shooter i guess enya helps with a steady hand. it was very weird - you had to be very very still. and you watched the needle go in on a tv screen.

its like a flashback, dianne. aggggggghhhhh!

Dianne,
You're always full of attention in everything you do....
thanks for the translation,
i love Enya, one of my favorite song by her is 'pilgrim'!ofcourse i love them all....but if i listen too long it has the opposite effect :-(.

i hope the year will end smoothly for you, as for me i'll be busy at work, and will celebrate it with my colleagues!
hugs

I'm so sorry dear chickory I did not intend to remind you of your time spent at the pain clinic which I can imagine is something you would rather forget.

You must have had a very bad accident, I have never asked but I can sense the pain you must have felt as you seem so connected to Frida Kahlo. I hope that you are completely healed now and do not have so much pain.

I know what you mean, certain things trigger bad memories for me also and take me back to times I would much rather forget.

I did not realise that you also went under the name of orgasmik dear Craftsman, lucky you!! :)

Yes my friend I am very much for details, I like to know about things, I like researching and the origins of things.
I still have to master your language which is French, one that I find very beautiful...one day!

Yes I too love the music of Enya, I listen to it for a while, tire of it, then come back to it again, just like an old friend whom I have not seen for a while.

I suspect my year will end very quietly just like it has for many years now. I hope you have a great time with your colleagues at work.

Big Hugs xoxoxo ♡

Lol! Yes i found it amusing to takeup the name orgasmik when i first began blogging.
i started a blog named ' buddha"s garbage sack'- useless spiritual technology....which became what it should, anyways to make the long short, i thought it could be philosophical to use the term orgasmik signifying our dying processus as our last 'orgasm'.

i was then kind of attracted by all that 'dying' meant not as a biology but as spiritual.

i realised that this was too lofty for someone much more simple - denoting seeking to avoid all kind of complications, intellectualisation and find a stream where i could abandon myself without 'struggle', without erecting a world of ideals as seen as the monopoly of Men.
i just wanted to be no more than the plants or even a leaf.....
i want only to be a part of the whole, just find my place somewhere in the luxury of the quiet.
i m for' wings' and not "crosses'
i donot want to pretend to be peaceful...i seek to be peaceful!

i thought you might want to know a little of 'orgasmik's' bio...so here it is! :-).

nb: by the way i'm listening to Anthony and the johnsons 'twilight'

Lol for sure, when I first saw orgasmik I thought it was one of those pesky ads for Viagra for women or a dating site, I am always getting stuff like that...just as well I didn't delete your comment! :/

Don't they say that an orgasm is a 'little death' anyway!

Life is a spiritual journey, so I would think that dying is too, the spiritual part of us must live on somewhere in another dimension or we just live on in another form as a tree or a flower which we have ourselves nourished.

I enjoyed reading your philosophy for life, I too like quiet, I like the simple beauty in my surroundings, in the trees, the leaves, flowers, sunrises and sunsets, the sky ... many things in nature can move me with their beauty and bring a stream emotional tears to my eyes.

Yet I can look at a beautiful piece of art, a painting for instance or a ceramic, and find much beauty there. That is when I first saw you dear COL, in the gallery in Turin, your image was reflected in the mirror of the cabinet, you were wearing a yellow scarf, my favourite colour. :)

Thanks for the info on 'orgasmik's' bio, don't worry dear friend I did not think you were being perverse ... lol, quite the opposite, I think you are gentle and very sweet!

Sorry but I haven't heard of Anthony and the johnsons, I shall have to check them out.

Big hugs xoxoxo ♡

How smart of you to find my the 'guy with the yellow scarf'....i had to go back and check to see if i was really in the image, and ofcourse i was....Your eyes didnt miss out on a single anything, i thought i was staying discreet all along. :-(

I think Isobella would be a good name for a fitness instructor.

It is a pretty name Pugsley my sweet, I had never thought of it as a name for a fitness instructor.
Aren't they usually name Helga, Inga or Sven?
