Si tu veux qu'autre chose toujours tu me rappelles

Peut-être que je t'aime, peut-être que je t'aime.

Maybe I Love You Lyrics

If sleeping with you is not the end of the world
It becomes so when you're gone
A life around you may be very long
But far from you, it's worse, it never ends

When we exchange our house in our dreams
Often your dreams bore me
And then I'm leaving to New Towns
Where I miss you after a few nights

Maybe I love you, maybe I love you

I learned that I like the sky unless your eyes
This would require looking up to heaven
I will always remember a little, your eyes
If you want anything else you always remind me

Maybe I love you, maybe I love you.

I was not aware of this singer Françoise Hardy until I read about her in a post on Dan Felstead's blog Wood and Pixels Narrative, where he was reminiscing about his travels through Europe as a young man and Françoise was all the rage.
I decided to look for her on Google and came across this song which I think is very sweet.
I'm sure you guys will agree that she is a very attractive young woman and she also has a lovely voice.

Thanks for posting this song. In the 1960s Françoise Hardy was the heart-throb of every English schoolboy, including moi. I remember her best for "Dans le monde entier" (All over the world) - seen here (English version) with a very nostalgic glimpse of night-time Piccadilly Circus, London, in stunning black-and white!

All over the world

and the version française:
Dans le monde entier

my best
Tony

Hi Tony ,

Thanks, I am glad it has brought back happy memories for you.
Yes I can fully understand why Françoise Hardy would be the heart-throb of every English schoolboy and no doubt many males of different ages back then, she is very beautiful.
I like this song myself and thank you so much for the two links, interesting for me to see Piccadilly Circus, London.
I really love her version of the song as she sings it in French, such a romantic language.

Best wishes
Dianne. xoxoxo ♡

Thanks /t. dear,

I had not heard of Françoise Hardy until Dan mentioned her, she seemed to have made a big impression on him while he was in Europe so I decided to look for her on Google.
Yes, I was a little too young myself but I do like the song and her singing, such a sweet voice.

Yes dear K9 it is very French and very lovely.
Lol at Pug, can you imagine him in a beret, sipping coffee and eating a pastry in a café or boulangerie by the river Seine and smoking a Gauloises cigarette while he peruses Le Monde? :-)

funny, i have not heard of her at all or don't have a memory of her. but as /t. said, i may have been too young at the time. living in germany in the late 60s and 70s french singers were often extremely popular in germany. the chanteuse i remember from that time is
Mireille Mathieu who was very popular in germany. and then of course there was edith piaf, a legend ...

No Foamy dear, I had not heard of her at all until I read about her at Dan's blog.
I loved the chanteuse Mireille Mathieu, such a sweet voice; I bought a 12" album of hers from a second hand shop, it is still around somewhere packed up with a lot of things from my past. Two of my favourite songs were
La Mer and

Toi Et Moi and La Paloma Adieu and many other of her songs, these evoke many memories and yes I have heard of the legendary Edith Piaf.
