There is nothing like nature to sooth the soul and comfort the mind.
Unless, of course, we are talking hurricanes, volcanoes, earthquakes and plagues of locusts. If that was the menu I would fall back on a good red wine.
So true dear Lee , yes nature in her moderate disposition is a thing of beauty and soothing to the soul ... though I do like a good thunder storm and light show if I am somewhere safe to observe it.
No, I am not speaking of or praising nature in her destructive extremes,for then she is a force that cannot be enjoyed.
A good red wine, what is on the menu, perhaps a Pinot Noir, Merlot,Rosé or Shiraz?

This reminds me of a college classroom which had a poster of Earth. The caption read: "Earth ... it's the only planet we've got". Underneath that, some vandal had written: "What happened to the other 8?"
Yes Pugsley my sweet, Earth is our planet and we must take better care of her, she seems to be the only planet which can support life as we know it.
It is such a beautiful place to live when you think of all we have here but if we aren't more careful and aware of the delicate balance of nature we shall destroy it all ...

Yes dear Foamy I do as well, I love nature and all of her elements except when they are extreme and destructive, I have had a few trees topple here.

Yes of course you love the beauty of the wild landscapes, you are at one with nature when you are out there exploring and photographing in all kinds of weather, amongst all of the elements, sometimes forboding but always uplifting.

Yes Natassja Kinski was wonderful in the Roman Polanski version of the film; have you seen the latest version with Tess played by actress Gemma Arterton?
What a tragic life for poor Tess, she only had small glimpses of happiness and they were always taken away.
Yes this is a beautiful poem by Emily Brontê and Thomas Hardy was a great writer of his time.
