Where is your Love?

I hear your softest whispers
as you come into my dreams
You come to me so softly
just before the dawn
In that quiet time of dreaming
before night slips into morn
Your words are those of sweetness
they fill me with desire
When you tell me that you want me
you set my heart on fire
As you hold me so closely
hear the softness of my sighs
I feel your soft caresses
and melt into your arms
One more lasting kiss
I am completely disarmed

Your kisses are so tempting
Oh how can I resist . . .
It would be so lovely to surrender
and feel the pleasure of your charms
To give into my feelings
Take me, love me, I am yours . . .

But in the sobering light of morning
when I find that you have gone
I would have to ask myself
Where is your love?

ohhhh!!! look at you on the sidebar ... :D.
so lovely! i have a big grin on my face right now.

your poem breaths softness.
the only problem with a phantom lover is that they are fickle. come morning they are gone!

forgot to tell you that i really like our drawing.

Thanks dearest Foamy , yes these phantom lovers always disappear before sunrise, pleased that you liked the softness of the poem and my drawing.
Lol, my sidebar photo, not the best photo, I wanted to put a new photo there but had a few disasters taking one of myself.
Andrew my youngest took this one,he was a bit 'in my face' with the camera, I almost went cross-eyed so we might try again with more distance between the camera and myself.

That question is hard to answer with words...

Beautifully written, Dianne. I like the ending, the way the reader is brought in, lulled in, and then brought face to face with reality.

dianne said...

Thanks dear Opaque , I don't think that question can be answered for if he felt any love he would still be there in the morning.

Thank you dear Lee
I'm pleased that you enjoyed my poem.
It has a dream like quality, you don't really know if this is reality or just a beautiful dream, where I stop resisting and give myself completely to this person ... but both the reader and myself are brought back to reality when I find that he is gone and I wonder was he real or just a lover in my dream and I must ask 'where is he and where is his love'?

Beautiful drawing, Dianne!

Dreams are good and yours are better than most peoples.

dianne said...

Thanks dear Kathleen ,

Pleased you liked my drawing, I don't have dreams of phantom lovers often and I always wake up alone ... but I often dream that I am in a sunlit garden surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers, those dreams are always lovely.

Thank you for stopping by dear Phossy , pleased that you liked my poem and sketch.
True, you never forget your first love but sometimes they aren't necessarily the love of your life.

Hello Diane *waving @ the sidebar*
Nice 2 finally meet You! :-D

Beautiful sketch, simply beautiful.
What are You doing here in the cyberspace
You should be at a gallery or/and teach in art-school, and when they close You will write Your lovely poems - it is time for publishing them in a book now!!!

You are very talent!

Proud to know You!

Waving my hand at Your pic

Dearest Anna-Lys you are so sweet, it is not the best photo of me but since all of the pics I took were a disaster I used this one on my side bar until I get another photo.
My art is just another way of expressing myself, just as my poems are. I have been approached about publishing my poems but if I decide to do it then I will be the one who chooses when and where. I like to just work at this pace as it suits me but thank you for your lovely compliments.
I am proud to know you too dear Anna-Lys and I am waving and smiling back at you.

Thank you dearest Col , I'm so pleased that you liked my drawing...there are a few scattered around my blog, my Avatar for instance.
I wanted to convey, or tried to convey the loneliness that is felt when one wakes and realises that they are all alone, that feeling of emptiness on realising that it was all just a dream and there is an empty space beside me on the bed and in my heart.
Thank you dear friend for asking, yes I am feeling better, when we spoke before remember I said that we cannot always have the love of someone special whom we care for, well I am quite resigned to that reality now.
I hope you will always 'love' me as a friend in your own special and sweet way.
Hugs... xoxoxo ♡

Thank you dear /t.

you are very kind to me and generous with your praise, there is nothing remarkable about my drawing,it is a simple drawing which anyone could do ... you are the talented one.

"Where is your love", yes dear I think it is ok to ask that question on a public blog, no-one is likely to come forward for it was all a dream and there is no-one. ;-)

Thanks dear /t. I'm pleased I have something. ;)

Maybe you don't draw like I do here but you create beautiful images, of colour, movement and dimension with your code poems, to me that is truly amazing.

Thank you dear Leovi , yes, both my drawing and poem are sensual, but the poem is just my imagination and dreaming of what might be.
