She is gone ...

She is gone

Out past the breakers

Into the open sea

Out to the great beyond

Where the blue haze

Blends the sky and sea ...

On she goes

With billowed sail

Hastened by the wind

To a place where no man

Can touch her heart

And cause her to lament ...

To a place where life begins

A place to find some peace

Where squalls and swells

Cast free her angst

And soon turns into calm ...

Throw her cares to the wind

And hurt into the deep

Say farewell to sadness

And leave it in her wake ...

  6. I didn't know that there was a limited space in sidebars... I thought one could add stuff endlessly...

    nice sailing boat.

is the poem about the boat or a person?

I love everything at sea, love boats, love the waves...

Did you see "by any means" where he actually sailed from Indonesia to Australia? I think it took him six days and he was seasick most of the time!

Lol, no not all men are filth, well I don't know any who are but I have come across a couple of heart breakers. :) ♡

  8. Sarah dear, there isn't a limit on the space on the side bar but each time I put something there my 'special friends' list gets further down, I have already removed my music player, I will have to do some re-arranging.

Yes, very nice sailing boat, the poem was about me and the boat.
I love swimming in salt water and boats can be fun so long as you don't get seasick. :)

Was that 'By Any Means' with Charley Boorman...now thats a nice bit of 'eye candy', no I missed that but saw the 'Long Way Round' series with him and Ewan McGregor. ♡

  10. Yesterday I was bouncing around on the Irish Sea on a powerful boat (not quite wind in the sails but a 225BHP outboard which made the Skerries Lighthouse appear much more quickly than normal! The sun was bright as heaven and sparkling everywhere. The wind blew the sea spray back across the boat, soaking us completely but the land seemed small and insignificant and the sky and ocean so vast.

The sailing analogy I started a day or so ago is a good one because it is all about voyages and journeys. The voyages may never be easy but that's what makes them exciting, rough with the smooth and all that!

Heavy weather can be very frightening but discovering new landfalls and seeing the predictable, from an unpredictable perspective makes everything seem fresh and vibrant, and somehow different!

If you have genuinely cut the anchor loose, and not just hoisted it and placed it in a rubber dinghy behind you Dianne, then you will genuinely enjoy the waves of your new journey!

A great adventure, a sky of blue, a fresh breeze, the sound of the ocean and some salt spray on my face. ♡

  12. It sounds like you had a perfect day dear Glyn ...
I would like to spend a day like that, especially in a boat on the Irish Sea but I would prefer sails rather than a motor...depending on the weather of course.
Nothing like being out in the middle of an ocean, the sun sparkling on the surface and seeing the vastness of the sea and sky, certainly puts life into perspective and makes you feel blessed to be part of this huge blue sea and skyscape.
Some vogages are easy, some exciting, some are smooth sailing, some take you into heavy weather but no matter what thats just the way of it and you enjoy it for what it is...sometimes there is a deep feeling of loss when the journey ends. ♡ xx

  13. Sail on, down the line
About half a mile or so
And I dont really wanna know ah
    Where youre going
Maybe once or twice you see
    Time after time I tried
Hold on to what we got
    But now youre going
    And I dont mind
About the things youre gonna say
Lord, I gave all my money and my time
    I know its a shame
But Im giving you back your name
Guess Ill be on my way
I wont be back to stay
    I guess Ill move along
Im looking for a good time
    Sail on down the line
Aint it funny how the time can go
All my friends say they told me so
    But it doesnt matter
    It was plain to see
That a small town boy like me
Just I wasnt your cup of tea
    I was wishful thinking
    I gave you my heart
And I tried ot make you happy
And you gave me nothing in return
You know it aint so hard to say
Would you please just go away
    Ive thrown away the blues
    Im tired of being used
    I want everyone to know
Im looking for a good time
    Good time
    Sail on honey
Good times never felt so good
    Sail on honey
Good times never felt so good
    Sail on sugar
Good times never felt so good
    Sail on

  17. Shweta dear,
Don't be confused about this poem... I wrote it this morning at about 6am when I got up...I was sitting there thinking and my tears started to flow again...the first line came to me and the rest followed quickly.

As all seems hopeless it is about me sailing away on a boat to a place where I can lose my sadness and look forward to peaceful thoughts and happier times...

I have been given a lot of well meaning advice but one doesn't get over the hurt in one day, it takes time to heal.
    take care too
    love
    Dianne ♡

  21. Thank you my dear friend chickory you always give me good advice, my problem is I take everything to heart but though some might not have a high opinion of me and misinterpret what I say I know in my own heart that I am sincere and really don't need their opinion though I would like them to open their eyes and really see me.

I was thinking of closing my blog because I have made such a fool of myself in the past week or so but I cant as I do look forward to coming here because there is so much love and friendship and I feel included and I need that.

I love visiting your blogs and I would miss that so much, but I came so close yesterday.

Yes it would be a good idea for me to focus on other things and do some paintings for myself and spend some time in my garden when I have some spare time.

thanks and love to you... ♡

  24. Thank you my dear friend Foamy
I came very close to closing my blog yesterday,it would have been so easy... but then I thought well I have made a fool of myself in the public spectrum by revealing too many of my private thoughts but I'm sure the people who do care about me will forgive my foolishness.

Besides it may not be the greatest of blogs but it is so much a part of me and my self expression... whether that is happy or sad, I have to improve on that 'sad' part or no-one will want to visit here... Glyn pointed that out to me.
Its not that I don't have anything to post either, I do, I just haven't felt like it.
And I would miss all of you so much... and who would I have coffee with in the early hours of the morning? I would miss that Foamy.
There are many things happening in my personal life which do effect me but I try not to bring that here, this is supposed to be my little place of respite so I will try to lighten up.
Thanks Foamy, love to you too.XO ♡

  27. wasn't it called "Long way down"?!
because you know i think they might well also do a "long way around" - going all around the globe... seen them in Siberia as well...

    Yeah it was Charley Boorman...

    Eyecandy... the sights or him???
because I think he's definitely not good looking at all - but he seems to have a lovable personality!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yes Sarah dear there was 'Long Way Round' then 'Long Way Down' then after that 'By Any Means'...
and I think Charley Boorman is very lovable and 'hot', not handsome but very appealing...well to me and a lot of the female population. :) ♡
