Dear Lil Lambie , I'm so pleased that you like this picture, I posted it just for you, those lambs there are very sweet I think and the lady is looking out for them,
Perhaps she is their kind shepherdess? ♥

I'm so pleased that you liked it dear K9 , I just thought it was a little different and it did appeal to me for its honesty and simplicity, I just loved the lambs.

I have been promising Lambie a tribute for quite some time and finally found the words. ♥

K9 dear,I could never come up with a homage that would equal your writing skills or one which was worthy of complimenting your many talents and the credit they deserve , but just remember I have admiration for all that you do, especially how you care for your pets...as I said before you are 'a gift to the world'. ♥

Even though Lamby may or may not have been untrue, I still don't like seeing her get fleeced. Even if it IS for lace curtains.

dianne said...

Puggles my sweet, don't be concerned, Lambie wasn't fleeced, those curtains are made of lovely Irish cotton and those sheep there are distant Irish cousins of hers I would suppose. ♥

Yes my dear Nina , they are very cute little lambs and it would be nice to live there...what fun they would have in that meadow. ♥

I can see the woman's lamb grill in the background, think she is trying to pick one out for the annual lambfest.

dianne said...

Oh Phossy dear, she doesn't want to grill them she cares for her little flock...cant you see that she is either knitting or crocheting a cap using their wool...♥

Interesting painting. Paintings are like wine, you have to know what your are looking at/tasting to really appreciate it. And sometimes people overpay for both!

Hi Robert , nice to see you again; it is a scene of simple harmony.
Yes with art you are instinctively drawn to some paintings and you have the chance to study them and see if they speak to you.
Most times though, those I would choose are beyond my means.
With wine unless you have had the benefit of a 'wine tasting', you really don't know what you are getting; and yes you can overpay for both. ♥
