White Silences

I sit here in solitude
With thoughts of you
Memories of conversations
Between me and you
Of kind words and flowers
And green leaves on trees
Now gone forever
Taken by the breeze
Snow falls around me
Without a sound
Leaves follow closely
Floating softly to the ground
Not a breath can be heard
Not a voice, not a sound
In the silence of the forest
Solace can be found
I lose myself in memories
Of moments spent with you
In the cold white silences
Amidst softly falling snow.

  6. Thanks dear Lee , yes a sad poem, even more so before my edit...
    "Teardrops cannot be heard
as they fall softly to the ground
in the silence of the forest".
It is a sensitive poem about feelings and loss of hope using apsects of nature as metaphors.
I hope you enjoyed it anyway?

  35. Amiga Dianne.

  36. This is why I tape everything. Conversations, leaves onto trees etc. I've even been know to tape a lady to the furniture.

  37. Thank you dear Leovi for your thoughtful words. Sometimes the memories remind us too much of what we have lost and how lonely we feel now and then we don't feel hopeful at all.

I do love the rain too, I like standing in the rain and having it splash on my face, its taste, the different sounds, from a light shower to a heavy downpour, its fragrance, as afterwards everything smells beautiful and fresh.
