A lovely place to rest amongst the flowers

This is a painting of Ophelia (1889) by
one of my favourite artists John William
Waterhouse.

  2. Wait. Are you implying that "Ophelia" is her ACTUAL name? I thought it was similar to "Naughtious Maximus" and such ... perhaps more of an activity than a name, per se. I'm going to learn a lot from you and your blog.

  3. Yes the artist named her 'Ophelia', a bit of splendour in the grass going on there methinks but what a lovely spot for a romantic interlude amongst the softness of the grass and fragrant flowers. ;) xox
