As an artist I almost always look for the credit because if a work fascinates me, I want to know who the author is and more about them.

Many members of the general pubic have no idea about copyright and a great majority don't care either, about the artists that produce the work, think of music for example and how many bands and singers have their work illegally copied, and the web has made all of this so much easier but it has literally killed the business of many artists and musicians.

I think with blogs, where a private individual is writing personal thoughts, that as long as the author is credited or even better hyper-linked, then 'personally' I think this can be a good thing for the artist if it draws customers to their web pages or whatever.

Perhaps in future, just dig out images where the author IS known and can at least be credited to help them continue making beautiful work ? I'd hate to think that someone would use your lovely poems on their blogs without telling anyone who wrote them in the first place ?

Assuring you that I was not telling you off! :-)) Just offering a suggestion ?
