I'm so pleased that you...Thank you dear Foamy

I'm so pleased that you googled Christina Rossetti, she has written some very lovely poems, apparently she was very much involved with the Pre-Raphaelite movement and the contemporaries of her brother, Dante.

I have loved this poem for quite some time and it inspired me to write my poem as a personal narrative of my own experience and feelings for a special gentleman in my life, one Colonel Brandon. The lovely conversations we exchanged, the imaginative adventures we embarked upon, the walks we took together in the garden of his Manor, the deep and real affection I felt for him, all very 'Jane Austen' ...
We had so much fun writing to each other in this manner in the comments of his blog Nature Diary, when he adopted the persona of 'Colonel Brandon' from 'Sense and Sensibility' and I was Ms.Dianne of Somersby Manor.
It now seems like such a long time ago, though my memories of these times are very clear ... I was just trying to recapture a little of the happiness I felt then when I was sure of his friendship and him being here for me... sadly he seems to have gone.
I was hoping to paint a small garden scene with a couple in the costume of the that period walking together but I did not have the time ... maybe one day I will ... I decided that the reflective painting of Monet's water lilies and clouds would be a good substitute.
I'm so pleased that you enjoyed my poem and thank you for your kind words and constant encouragement. xoxoxoxo ♡

April 25, 2010 11:39 PMdiannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06171808338793139579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-78232034748039549.post-6553286477830301622010-04-27T12:01:59.406+10:002010-04-27T12:01:59.406+10:00Thanks dear Sarah Sofia

She has let him go, a missed opportunity and now feels regret for having done so ... that is the impression her words gave me.
Does this help to explain your question at all?

If only I could recollect it!
Such a day of days!
