Summer Days...



I long for the warmth
Of Summer days
A painted sky
Of pastel blue
And sunshine warms
With golden hues
Soft breezes
Set the flowers to dance
Their pretty colours
Brighten the day
Their colours blur
In the sunny haze
Sweetest scents
Float on the air
The songs of birds
Sound the day
The hum of bees
From flower to flower
How I love these
Blissful hours
Summer days
Without a care….

    Thank you dearest Foamy for your kind words, it is lovely to see you here. I was thinking about you and your Foamlets this evening, so it was a nice co-incidence to find your comment.
    It has been cold, wet and miserable here this week and I have felt cold, I have been freezing in bed with no-one nice to cuddle up to. It was sunny today, still quite cool.
    Thank you for the offer but I am not quite ready for the blistering heat of Summer, my poem is about one of those rare milder Summer days. ;-)
    I'm sorry to hear it is so hot, I hope you get some cooler days soon. I hope you are well and your family?
