That brighten my day
Here I am alone
There is silence again
I wonder this time
Will you return
Can I hope for anything?
Or do I just turn away?
Give up and forget you
For when you ignore my words
You give me no reason to stay
What do I ask of you?
That is so difficult to give
A little of your time
Maybe too much to ask
I look for you
At the edge of each day
But you are not there
And my hopes drift away
I wonder do you realise
How empty that makes me feel
Hoping I will find
you
In the dawn of a new day
To hope for your attention
Is perhaps too much ask
For after all
I am not a part of your world
I had no expectations
Just some hopes and dreams
It was always reassuring
To feel that you were near
But my dreams have deceived me
And my hopes are undone…

ReplyDeleteIt is so difficult when a person we care about so much does not give us enough attention. Sometimes we have to tell them straight what we seek of them because being in a relationship there comes a time when one of the party starts taking the other for granted.

You make it difficult when you disappear for a while, make no contact and I don't hear from you for a long time. I miss you and don't know if you will ever return or if you will just pop up again like she says in the video, never realising how much you have been missed.
It is not as if I can call you, write to you or send you an e-mail.
You asked me to write for you and I do, many of these poems are for you, I just need a little recognition that you have taken a few moments out of your life to think of me and to read the poems. Surely if you care at all that is not too much to ask.
