Silence Again ...


Now the silence falls again
Like a veil of coldness
It closes in
Thoughts of unknowing
Hurt me again
I wonder this time
If it is the end ...
I went to your place
And you were gone
Not a word, a memory
Left to resound
Emptiness is all I found ...
So here I am alone again
What am I to do 
How do I go on?
Lost in sadness
Will it ever end?
Left to wonder
What did I say?
To make you leave
For you to go away ...
What did I ask of you?
That was too much
For you to say
All I needed
Some kind words
From a friend ...
Not a word
Not an answer
Silence again.
Now you return
To your solitude
Once again
Seeking silence
Your closest friend …

    Hi Sweetie, sometimes we find the hand of God in solitude. We love hard and when they're not there, we wonder if life will ever be the same without them. No it won't. But we move forward having no other choice. Be encouraged in knowing that no one can be as faithful to us than the one who made us. In your alone time, take comfort in God.

    Thank you dearest Ellie for your thoughtfulness and your words of comfort.
    I have written this poem in the hope that he might see it but I am not too sure that he will read my words.
    When he returned in mid-July, he did ask me to write for him, he did stay for a little while.
    Now he has gone again and I don't understand why. I did not ask too much of him, I just hoped for some friendly words, surely that is not too much to ask between friends. Perhaps I said too much and made too much noise in his world of solitude but it should not have been too much if he was truly my friend.

    Yes I guess silence is better than a 'Goodbye', that is so final ... but I am still left to wonder if he is gone forever this time.
    Thankfully I can still see the beauty and the light in the world and I can still feel happiness when I look around me.

    Friendship is precious, it requires constancy from two people, it should not be taken for granted and like all special things in life it needs to be nurtured not neglected.

    Thank you dearest Foamy for your thoughtful words and for visiting.
    I know these poems of heartache are becoming very tedious, I think this will be my last.
    He does make for an interesting muse, he gives me plenty of sorrow to write about.
    I am not surprised either,it would not be the first time, though I did not think he would leave so soon.
    I think I expected too much and should have realised that my feelings are not very important to him.
    I must be more careful with my heart, I only have one and it is not doing so well at present.

    Take care lil sweet pea and I hope your ligament will be completely healed soon.
