You come to me so softly
Just before the day
I cannot hear your footsteps
But I feel you just the same
The warmth of your caress
Like the sun’s first rays
The closeness of you
Takes my breath away
The closeness of you
Takes my breath away
To know that you are near me
Takes the shadows away...

Hello dear Antonio
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. My poems sometimes come to me with just a few lines, then proceed from there, often from feelings I am experiencing.
I then look for an image that will portray the feeling of the poem, in this case the soft light of morning and the sun's first golden rays.
Hugs my friend

Thank you dear Leovi for your kind words; yes, love at dawn is a beautiful beginning to a day, I have a very good memory.
ReplyDeletePlease remember these are just my feelings put into words, no-one was there with me, though I hoped someone was thinking of me. It was just me alone with my dreams.
