On The Other Side of Heartbreak

After the many tears
The sleepless nights
The loneliness of my journey
Through the darkness
I feel no disquiet
I find that time and acceptance
Has lessened the hurt and pain
I can now wake to mornings
With some hope in my heart
For with morning comes
The sunshine's golden tints
Into the light once more
And the flowers before me
Awaken my heart to the joy
And the happiness I thought
That I had lost forever
And with hope
My heart shall love again...

  4. Thank you dearest Foamy , yes, hearts are resilient but my heart has many scars, I must be more careful with it. I can still enjoy the sun rising and the bright faces of my flowers but there comes a time when one should give up on romantic love.
Thanks, I know that you are always there for me.
Hannah and Her Sisters is one of my favourite films.

  8. Hello sweet Dianne - my heart I suspected was completely hardened & wizzled up or so I thought & POOF ! out of nowhere ... I don't think we really ever know what our hearts can or can't do - as much as it doesn't feel like it our thoughts & our hearts sometimes are totally separate things. much love xoxo Susan + gang

  13. Hello sweet Susan , thank you for your thoughtful and encouraging words.
My heart has been through a lot but thankfully it is not hardened or dried up. :) I have to be careful and listen to my head not my heart or I will find myself in all kinds of trouble and hurt again ... let's just say I am giving love a rest.
Much love to you and the gang.

  33. Thank you dear rdl , for stopping by. I have read your poem a few times and felt saddened by your words, I did not know what to say to make it any easier for you. I have now left a comment.
I was premature in writing this, I am not on the other side at all, I am still feeling very sad and fragile and realise I cannot ever have who I want and need.
Take care my friend, perhaps we will both feel better in time.
