Uncertainties


The uncertainties of life
Take so much away
Nothing is given
That cannot be taken away
Feelings, dreams, comfort, love
Everything can change
Whether in a moment
Or the passing of a day
One cannot rest on complacency
Nothing stays the same
I look to the beauty of the sky
The meadows and the trees
And hope that tomorrow
They will all be there again ...
