Golden Dreams


My hopes and thoughts drift away
To places of golden dreams
Far across meadows of wild golden grasses
And fields of unending dreams
Where wildflowers blossom
Their white petals glowing
As they bathe in an aura of light
Floating softly on gentle breezes
Their sweet fragrance such a delight
Drift with me across fields of golden
Where scenes of beauty unfold
Where soft wisps of dandelions float on the air
And sunbeams shine like strands of gold
Through the grasses they dance and shimmer
On threads of golden light
Dream with me in the warmth of sunshine
As we float upon clouds of gold
Where echoes of love surround us
As we drift towards golden night
Stay with me 'til the night enfolds us
And the fireflies come out to glow
Fall asleep under stars and moonlight
And together meet the morning's glow...
