Sweet Echoes From The Past

Sweet words wash over me
Like soft breezes in the trees
Words spoken softly
They return to me
Like a sudden found melody
A song of happiness
That I thought I had lost along the way
Sweet echoes from the past. . .

  39. Thank you Dianne for your thoughtful words in my blog.
Your Poems are so very touching!
The poetry occupies a great deal of your life I suggest you a Portuguese poet: António Gedeão
With friendship I transcribe you his poem:

Todo o tempo é de poesia

    Desde a névoa da manhã

    à névoa do outo dia.

    Desde a quentura do ventre

    à frigidez da agonia

Todo o tempo é de poesia

    Entre bombas que deflagram.

    Corolas que se desdobram.

    Corpos que em sangue soçobram.

    Vidas qua amar se consagram.

    Sob a cúpula sombria

    das mãos que pedem vingança.

    Sob o arco da aliança

    da celeste alegoria.

Todo o tempo é de poesia.

    Desde a arrumação ao caos

    à confusão da harmonia.

  40. Thank you dear Veiga for your thoughtful words and your kindness in transcribing this poem here for me ... I had not heard of António Gedeão but I am always happy to be introduced to new poets and their words.

I enjoy visiting your blog and reading your amazing poems.

This poem is beautiful, yes, 'all time is poetry', every aspect of life and even death is poetry.
The arrangement of words into poems is self expression, it can be cathartic, inspiring and liberating.

Time will tell but I think that Anya should be the deserving winner, I loved two of her haikus and she did publish some lovely images to accompany them.
