Buds of Promise

My softest petals I save for thee
I turn my face for your sweetest kiss
In your light I glow for thee
Buds of promise shall bloom for this
And in youthful blossom await your kiss . . .

I'm so pleased that you are enjoying my poems, some are better than others ... it depends on what has inspired me and the feelings and thoughts which start the process, whether consciously or not.

  20. Beautiful picture, beautiful words.

Dianne, thank you for your comments at Hill Country Mysteries. Losing Harry threw me topsy turvy for a while and I didn't spend much time at the computer, but I saw your words and appreciate your kindness.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed this little poem, yes it is some British olde English; I didn't plan it that way, it is just how I was feeling and these words followed.
Thanks, yes the image is a perfect complement for the poem.

  27. Dear Anonymous?
not all of my poems and prose are written for or addressed to anyone in particular...they are simply poems.
This piece of prose was inspired by a beautiful post at a dear friend's blog. :)
