  1. No, unfortunately I had a really bad experience with a "Carnie Gal" a few years back. She took every nickel and dime that I had (and cruelly, she insisted upon that specific coinage, so it was quite a slow process).

It was as if she secretly sprayed her heart with cooking spray, so that my own heart would glance off of it into the gutter.

So I tend to avoid carnivals, faires, bat mitzahs, sales meetings, and all other forms of transient get-togethers.

  3. this is cool. Almost as cool as that rose you've been making.

I'm surprised, as I didn't think I would like the J. Austen movie.
But, that was before knowing that Alan Rickman, the Sherriff of (With-a-Spoon) Nottingham , Hans (too Greedy) Gruber...., was in it.

  4. yep,
    that was cool,
    but then, i'll take
    just about any opportunity
to look at kate... and even if she's wearing nothing more than her beautiful smile(!)

    nice work by triniti, too

  5. Lol Puggles my sweet, you really are an interesting character...I think you should write a book about your life and its sad but often comedic misadventures.
Though I am sorry that she broke your heart.

Every nickel you say, you should stay away from those who would empty your wallet, stay away from girls of ill repute.

I don't mind country fairs but I really have an aversion to carnivals, the circus, mimes who annoy you in the street and I'm afraid of clowns. ♡

  6. Yes Foamie my dearest, the movie was an excellent adaption of Jane Austen's book. ♡

I am very much like Marianne in some ways, a romantic, take things to heart but I am like Elinor as well because I am practical, compassionate and don't just think of myself, I look out for others needs and try to comfort them. ♡

  7. Hi Boney nice to see you, I'm pleased you like my rose, Lil Lamb left one over at /t.'s so I have adopted it along with my new heart. ♡

I'm surprised that you thought I wouldn't like the movie, I have read the book several times and thought the movie was lovely. The beautiful costumes, the locations, the musical score all sang to my romantic heart.
Not because of Alan Rickman, he doesn't appeal to me though he is a good actor.
I just thought it was lovely that Marianne after having had her heart broken by the libertine, Willoughby was fortunate to find love with Colonel Brandon, a more mature, steady and loving man who would overlook her immaturity treasure her for whom she was. @-->--

  8. Thanks dear /t. I knew Kate would get your attention, she is young there and she is indeed a beautiful woman. ♡

Have you ever watched her interview on the Michael Parkinson show?
A very pleasant person and very lovely.

I really love that rendition of 'Scarborough Fair' by Triniti, such pretty music and lovely voices. ♡

  11. you know what would be great? if during a movie like sense and sensibility - characters from other movies would rip into it - oh say like the terminator and he started shooting everybody. grrrrrhahahahaha that would give the romantics in the theatre a bit of a jolt. grrrrrherhahahaha

foamy will understand why i thought that we are fresh off a movie blend game at xdells for example:

stop making sense and sensibility: the talking heads do a concert to benefit broke ass sisters marianne and elinor

    or

the sixth sense and sensibilty: marianne and elinor see dead people

    or

    aliens 4: the first breeders

    grrrrrrhahahahaha

  12. greherhahahaaaa .. lol .. at k9 ..

    how about

bridget jone's sense and sensibility pulp fiction diary - clutzy romantic bridget looses her sensible bloomers to a couple of low-rent hit men, a desperate prizefighter and her boss. finally her good sense prevails and she chooses .. ?
(well, i'm certainly not giving the ending away .. )

  14. Oh Phossy dear, you and your herbs, I wouldn't recommend smoking parsley, sage, rosemary or thyme...but I know what you meant.

I don't think Jane Austen was as hot as Kate here, I believe she was quite plain...but what an imagination. ♡

  15. Lol K9 dear, now I will never be able to watch this movie again without thinking of Arnie the terminator walking into the scene blowing a few of the cast away and saying "I'll be back"...
tell you what though he would sure give these procrastinating polite society pretty boys a run for their money there wouldn't be a virgin left. :-)
Love your movie titles by the way, they are very, very funny and clever. ♡

  16. You too Foamie my dear, talk about make me laugh, just love the title, you and K9 are so clever, now why didn't I think of anything like that...

    So who did she choose?

Love & friendship between the sexes can be so complicated at times, words said in anger, misunderstandings... why cant it just run smoothly? ♡

  17. Very funny /t. dear, you are all so clever. ♡

You have all made me laugh, thanks for that... but I can feel another poem coming on. ♡

  18. Black tea isn't too bad.

They couldn't film anything called sense and sensibility on capitol hill these days.

  19. she chooses the boss's wife .. ;)

  20. Oh Phossy dear, I couldn't imagine what black tea leaves would taste like if smoked, I will take your word for it.
    Thanks for stopping by. ♡

I don't know about sense & sensibility on Capitol Hill but I can imagine there is plenty of 'drama' going on at the moment. ♡

  21. So Foamie my dear friend, you are talking about your version of the movie, your Bridget Jones sense & sensibility pulp fiction diary?
    Well, the boss's wife, that's a bit different. ;-)

You know I am so sad, tears are falling again... I was thinking about the movie 'Love Actually' and how Mark is in love with Juliet and she doesn't realise and he goes to her door with all of those signs telling her that he loves her and he will until he dies.
And the beautiful love story that develops between Jamie & Aurelia, that was so lovely.
Aurelia learns to speak English and I will remember that line forever when she says to him "Just in cases"...♡
