GO AWAY

No going back now
you have sealed my fate
Burnt all the bridges
slammed the gate

The path is blocked now
you have closed the door
Our bond together
is no more

No forgiveness in you
it hardly seems fair
you judged me so harshly
its so hard to bear

What a shame you didn't open your eyes
open your heart and realise
All the loveliness here
I hold inside

All the love that I have
is all for you
No-one has touched my heart
the way you do

One careless lie
amongst many truths
Cant you look past this
and give me your trust

I'm sorry I hurt you
I should not have lied
You have shut me out now
please let me inside

Please don't abandon me
let me in from the dark
Please forgive me
take me back to your heart

One indiscretion
and you throw me away
After all that we shared
You say" GO AWAY"...

  2. Foamie dear, yes it is okay that you enjoyed the poem, it is about me, it seems I can never get it right. ♥
Thanks, I did the drawing in Microsoft paint, quite different to holding a brush, but I will have to practice more. ♥

  3. Lamby stole my comment. But I choose to work on our trust issues. Perhaps I am too trusting that way.

I truly don't know what to say. Sorry. Good poem though.

  6. heck, just leave him behind and find another.
That can't be so hard for a wife and Mother.
Perhaps the next guy will be just the thing
To make you want to go out and sing!

Tears never solve anything, if you want to know,
Although sometimes a nice release, then get up and go.
There's a whole world out there waiting for you.
Don't whine about some dummy; you've better things to do.

  12. Well Boney , very pretty poem, but I don't happen to be a wife , I haven't been a wife or lover now for eleven years.

Its a shame some people have to be so harsh and judgemental and cant see all the lovely qualities I possess instead of focusing on one careless misrepresentation that I made; you see he liked the photo so much I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't me.

There wont be a next guy ... what put my heart out there in my hands, bare my soul only to have it and my hopes crushed again?
    I don't think so...no thanks I've had enough. ♥

  16. Dianne,

I am sorry to hear about your heartbreak. I hope someday soon you will find someone wise enough to cherish your heart as the rare jewel that it is.

  18. Thank you Foamie dear, yes I am hurting, don't know what to do, have been vacuuming and ironing to take my mind off of it...looking at images on the internet, sent some e-mails, now I'm just crying all over my keyboard.
You would think at my age I would I would be more resilient and better able to handle the situation, but it seems I am not.
You are so sweet to me and thoughtful and I do appreciate it. ♥

  19. I'm sorry that you are feeling so much pain still. Poetry will help.

(Still can't get that heart thing to work. Must be hidden somewhere else on a Mac keyboard.)

    Had to compromise...
The Mac keyboard doesn't seem to like the alt-3 thing, so I used TextEdit and it's special characters and cut and pasted.✔✔✔

    Thank you.

  24. Do not let your heart be troubled, look to all the wonderful things you have in your life, and find solace there. Joy comes to those who welcome and accept it, don't turn your back.......

  25. You are welcome dear j cosmo , I think your hearts look far nicer than the black heart. ♥

  26. Anonymous ,you keep leaving comments here but I don't know who you are?
    Do I know you?
That is very nice advice but just at the moment I feel no solace in the things that I have...I just feel like turning my back on the world. ♥

  27. "I just feel like turning my back on the world."

I have black days like that too.

I tend to retreat even deeper than normal into books and music on such days, hopefully to re-emerge a few days later in a better frame of mind.

Still, at least every new day brings new possibilities in principle, if not always in practice! :-)

  28. Hi Aren thanks for stopping by to see me.

I do retreat into music that comforts me, yes, just lately I've felt like turning my back on the world but it doesn't work, someone always has demands which I have to attend to. No peace I'm afraid.

Yes one can hope that a new day will bring something resembling happiness, I just look for little glimpses of hope so that I don't get too mired down in this sadness. ♥

  29. A poem where feelings are exposed to the surface, without disguise and without masks. Very nice. A hug.

  30. Thanks dear Leovi , no disguising my feelings here, I was angry and hurt, but thank goodness time heals and lets us forget and move on ... it wasn't to be, we were not a good match for each other.

    besos xoxoxo ♡
