The warm sun is shining, the sky is so bright
flowers bathe in heavenly light
their beauty and scent bring delight
The birds are chirping, the bees hum in flight
and the leaves in the breeze start to sing
Fragrant green meadows abundant with life
where the frogs and the crickets now sing
its soft green grasses beneath my feet
and the wildflowers scent is so sweet
All in my world is so happy and right
for today is the first day of Spring...

except of course, few of those above your name even know where I am.
As well, I havew yet another dozen names and addresses to put on, but, they are special cases (some don't even speak the western tongue) and will take long bouts of communicatiion to realign their address sidebars to my present location.
Thank you Boney, nice to feel included again... :)
ReplyDeleteNice poem. Fall is my favorite time of year and this year I am going to be spending part of it in Wisconsin, where I am originally from. There si nothing to compare with being out on a lake fishing surrounded by the dazzling colored leaves, sitting in a grove of hardwoods and just soaking in the sights, sounds, and smells. I'd trade cactus for woods any day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phos. That lake sounds wonderful, I can see the surface of the water like a mirror reflecting the sky, the hardwoods and the vast palette of colours from the Autumn leaves. The occasional splash of a fish as it swims through the water leaving ripples & water hens as they glide effortlessly as if on glass. I too can smell the woods, sweet bark and sap, hear the calls from woodland birds echoing across the water, the lakes edge covered with water grasses alive with damsel flies and other darting insects. Have a lovely time in Wisconsin. :) xoxoxo
